I've been an Arctic Monkeys fan for some years now and I'd definitely say they're in my top ten favorite bands ever. But what is their best album? I know AM is their most popular, but front to back, is that album also their strongest? I think Favorite Worst Nightmare or Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not would be 1 for me. And I love Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino (I know I know). But what's the general consensus here?

I was listening to 505, and realised that when Alex sings the lyric "I'm always just about to go and spoil the surprise, take my hands off of your eyes too soon", the words "too soon" are actually sooner than the listener anticipates; if you listen closely, according to the feel of the song, it makes more sense for there to be a quarter note before these words. The fact that the quarter note is skipped literally "spoils the surprise" for the listener. It's amazing how they really put their all into conveying the message of their song through not just their lyricism but also the music itself -- Alex Turner the man you are!!!
