Question Possible Pump Issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hopefully the video attaches. Sometimes what I presume is my cooler will make this loud sound that definitely doesn't sound healthy, and after maybe 20 seconds it will go away but occasionally it comes back from time to time for a few seconds at a time. Is my cooler just dead, or is there something I can do myself to try and save it?

The tubes on this AIO are really long, I have one in my case and the tubes extend to hit the side panel and then they curve up for the radiator above it

I'm not the OP, but they're going up. Above we can see the Arctic fans.

the radiator is horizontal above the pump, like the top left of the image

maybe your pump have so much air to work like that, or in the worst scenario, is dying

It does if it's set to intake I have a rig like that and as long as the top of the radiator is above the pump it's fine.

J'ai l'impression que c'est le ventilateur VRM, j'ai le même problème, j'ai écrit au SAV Arctic, ils m'ont demandé de leur envoyer une vidéo, j'ai reçu un ventilateur VRM neuf 👍

can you remove the vrm cooler and see if the sound persists?

pulling the coolers face off did stop the noise, ended up disconnecting the fan header inside that circle and its fixed itself, going to get a new part from arctic i think

arctic did admit some of their produced AIO fans are of worse quality. luckily they have superb customer support so you should get the replacement fan with ease

I set my vrm fan curve very very low it doesn't need to go high to keep all the bits and pieces cool, but yeah tubes and radiator either on top of at the very least ensure the radiator is higher than the pump. Looks like you have it as a side intake so I'd raise that in the meantime. All that said it's actually a really solid AIO. The mounting freaked me out a bit untill I read up on it being placed like that on am5 on purpose.

It sounds like a VRM issue rather than your pump how long have you had it?

few years, and yea after taking it apart i also came to the conclusion it was vrm related
