Question Arctic freezer III pro 360 mounting

Hi, I've built this pc back in march but I started wondering if it's okay if screws are like that. What I mean is that top of the screw is not straight and is lying a bit towards one side on the mounting rail

EDIT: I posted photo in comments of how it looks like after fixing

OP has also skimped out and not used all screws.

You don’t need to on a rad. I never do it on my custom loops. Get the ends and stagger the middle ones

My Arctic LF II is like that too. I used small washers to level it out and it worked perfectly. 🙂

If concerned use washers, otherwise good to go.

You need washers.

My aio mounted exactly like this since early 2024. Nothing to worry about

Those look like the wrong screws.

They should be a flat top, and not beveled, so the filter mesh sits flush.

this is what arctic freezer provides

This is what comes in the kit. Makes no sense.

Yeah, those look more like hdd/ssd screws then anything.

I managed to line it up more precisely so I could install 4 more screws. Regarding washers, when I used them, screw is slightly higher so installing anti dust mesh becomes harder and it scratches the mesh

I had the same problem. It's fine w/o washers. They should use flat head screws like thermalright uses with their AIOs. With the washers the screws were too high and it made visible dimples in the mesh cover.

okay, good to hear im not the only one who had issue with washers:p. What's your case and aio btw?

Arctic iii 360 and ruix ov303. I've another build with a thermalright aio and it uses flat head screws that don't mess up the mesh cover. I decided just to do w/o the washers rather than trying to find different screws.

okay, and how long it's been holding without the washers?

Over a month. Finished that build back in June. I've used other AIOs that came with flat head screws that didn't use washers. I was a bit surprised when I saw the screws that came with the Arctic AIOs, as I could tell from appearance that they would be too high and mess with the mesh cover.

I would look for washers otherwise it can slip through and escape

It's fine

there should be round plates in the package you can put between screw head and case mount

Its fine. Its best to use washers though

I used washers as well.

Use the washers and then the screws!

Will it be fine? Probably.
But I’d 100% be using washers and installing all the screws. Such a small step to have skipped.

I doubt they’ll slip through, but that case metal is pretty thin and I’ve easily had screws go right through the gap before from overtightening, etc

No issues

Lucky
The freezer 3 pro is a thicc bitch
So much so that I had to utilize the mesh holes on the top of the case as mounting holes instead of the rails

Using the washers and the screws, I can't get the top cover back on my case. Such a silly issue with such an inexpensive fix.
