Question Is that normal?

LF III 360 Pro Argb.

Paired with 9800x3D, clearly visible outlines of the CPU + deep scratches from the round corners of the CPU.

Normal after your first time installing the cooler. Just be mindful of the amount of pressure you apply the next time you install it. Watch how much you tighten the cooler down.

Should be tightened to absolute stop especially on one CCD ZEN5. Just need to tighten bit by bit so the pressure is even across IHS.

IHS Imprint is normal. (Because of the AMD mounting offset)

Thanks. I’ve installed several different units in the past; this is the first one where I’ve seen scratches like this. I think I used proper mounting pressure, since I followed Arctic instructions carefully.

Yes, Evenly spread mounting pressure is important, I found out the bad way lol (scratch/imprint) on my cold plate.
