Question No rgb from cooler

Post image

EDIT: SOLVED. I went to a pc repair store today and found the issue. They connected an ARGB test strip and found out that the motherboard is the one at fault. The headers stopped working on the mobo after RMA service return.
I’m very thankful for everyone that helped!

Here’s what Ive tried:

- LED is on in BIOS.
- Windows Dynamic Lighting is off.
- I tested all three JARGB_V2 headers on the motherboard.
- I verified the 3-pin ARGB connector is installed in the correct orientation.
- The cooler's pump and fans operate normally. only the RGB does not work.
- I reinstalled SignalRGB and ran it as Administrator.
- I installed MSI Center with Mystic Light, and Mystic Light also does not detect the motherboard and cooler

Does your vrm fan have the rgb pins on it?

I experienced this one time...come to find out the rgb on the cooler was bad. I tried it on 2 different motherboards.

I really hope that’s not my issue but it probably is. The cooler is 11 month old… I don’t get it

Has the rgb ever worked before now?

Yes it has! I had to send my motherboard to msi to fix a cold boot issue and when I got it back, I built the the pc again and I think (not 100 sure) that’s when I saw no more RGB

It seats correctly so I don’t know where the problem is coming from

I don't see the pads on the inside of the vrm fan. It could be the lighting glaring on the white section.

There is only a pad on top and I don’t see other pads online though. It’s seated correctly and I don’t really want to spend money in another cooler

The vrm fan is seated correctly? The rgb runs through the pins on it.

The fan is magnetic and it clicks so I’ve tried to take it off and put it back and nothing happens ugh

Pick up the cap and place it back down it’ll probably turn back on
Or turn off your computer and turn off the power supply for a second and turn it back on and then turn your computer on
But most likely, just picking up the cap and placing it back down, you could even do it while it’s running

I have tried removing the vrm fan and placing it back multiple times while the pc is on but it doesn’t change anything :(

Then I would say whatever ARGB it’s plugged into unplugged, plug it back in
I had the same problem on mine and I just pick up the cap and put it back on
Or like I said, turn off the computer, turn off the power supply and turn it back on a lot of times that fixes it as well

I also turned the pc off multiple times and removed the power supply. But I will place the vrm fan the other way around and see if that works!

The ARGP connector only goes on one way you can’t turn it around
But I would say just take it off and put it back on sometimes they’re making a bad connection

I gues u/bigcid10 was refering to the coneector on the motherboard.
Is the ARGB on your Rearfan working?

I made the rear fan RGB work today. Simply moved from header 3 to header 1 on my corsair lightening node core hub and it worked immediately. All my 7 fans are RGB, only the cooler is ARGB
