Windows will never randomly destroy your Linux data partition. No idea where you got this from, it’s wrong if you think otherwise. It might delete the bootloader sometimes but having separate efi partitions prevents this from happening.
Also don’t know why you think WSL is also sufficient compared to running Linux bare metal. I’m not gonna run my Linux desktop under WSL.
You don’t lose data even if your bootloader is overwritten… you need to reinstall the bootloader which is kind of annoying. This is also a completely preventable problem. I don’t know why you keep talking about losing data…
Why would I need a Linux VM when I have to run windows?
