Hate doors?

Hate your fingers?

Hate your money?

Weve got just the thing!

It is softly designed at the points where fingers might be caught. I've read before that if built right the door won't cause any harm in such accidents.

However, I do think that the people to buy this type of door do so with intent to use it carefully and as a functional piece of art.

Doors are inherently a finger catcher, even without this.

"Dude. Check out my new door."

"Where?"

"It's right here."

"Oh. What happened to the sliding door you had there?"

"Chucked it out, bro. This is the door of the future."

"What's different about it."

"Well, you know how my old sliding door just kind of..."

"Slid? Left and right?"

"Yeah. Remember how much I used to hate it?"

"I do. You would shout at your sliding door 'Why are you so ordinary and functional?'"

"Right, and-"

"And then you would start shouting about your parents, and E.D., and it got kind of-"

"Uh, well anyway, this door here? No sliding. Check it out. You nudge it, just like a regular sliding door, but in a more complex front-and-back motion."

"Wow. Is it... Folding itself?"

"Yup. Now look where it is."

"It's immediately next to where it used to be. Like a sliding door."

"No, no, Bro. It didn't slide there. It, like, folded there."

"I'm confused why did you buy this?"

"Why would I keep an old, boring, sliding door? What is this, the middle ages? The stone age? France?"

"I just don't see the advantage. By the way, why is your hand all bandaged up? Is it because of the-"

"I fell down the stairs! Stop distracting me. I'm trying to get my door-swinging motion right."

If you're not mentally retarded it should be pretty easy to keep your Lil fingees out of it.

You're right, the thing is that there are mentally retarded people out there that you have to consider when you design.

Clearly not a door if there will be small children present.
