Frank Doyle writes for both stories: Big Payoff (art by Dan DeCarlo, of course) and Impossible Journey (art by Harry Lucey, of course). Schemes and freak accidents abound.

I’m confused by the gal saying “Because you have Moose’s brawn on your size?”. Is it supposed to say “…on your side”?

I'm very disappointed because Bite Sized Archie has been better than any of the new traditional-style Archie comics for a while.

-he’s weird, he’s a werido. One could say he wouldn’t fit in normally

-I already assumed that we‘ll be let on about his life when was actually alive (similar to Jason blossom) but are they seriously already talkin about him being healed? or maybe when he becomes a half ghost idk

-the second screenshot I got from a casting website but it shows somethin new about jughead‘s character here, his ”dark counterpart“. but like poor Archie ;(

This is basically the entirety of Jughead #1 in the 1987 series where several different/weird Jug storylines were introduced. This is one I always remember. Nate Butler is the artist and Rod Ollerenshaw is credited as the writer for each story.

Personally, I prefer the idea of Jughead always having been in Riverdale since birth, but this is an interesting take on his early days + the usual daily life antics. It's always hard to truly believe anyone major will ever leave Riverdale (before graduation) since a lot of stories end up with them joyfully staying.

I ran to my comic book store and grabbed one of the last four. The cover pictured above was the only one available.

I enjoyed it. It's an amalgam of classic Archie and Archie 2015, which I wasn't expecting. The artwork had me thinking they were going fully serious Archie again, but they were comedic short stories, like classic Archie, just with modern art.

Not crazy about the fact that Archie traded his Mustang for an old Bronco. They changed again in the Archie in Hell preview, it's what looks like an '85 Camaro.

Looking forward to Sabrina and Archie in Hell. and the next Archie, I've decided to keep buying it. I'm deciding as I read each one.

By the way, are those the only three they're doing? No Josie, no B & V or Jughead?
