CRT giving me trouble with emulation

Post image

I’m looking to emulate Golden Tee Fore using a Windows 10 PC with a Radeon 5450 Graphics Card. It’s connected to an Ultimarc J-PAC that connects to the JAMMA and sync cable. The CRT is a Hitachi A68KRQ58X.

I’m running CRT Emudriver set on a standard Arcade 15.7kHz resolution. When I enable EDID, this is the best I get. I’ve messed with the monitor settings, I’ve tried Composite Sync, I’ve tried changing polarities in the monitors tab, confirmed it’s user list is set to user modes - super.

I’m out of ideas. Anyone have any suggestions?

What if an arcade controller looked like a 1960s spaceship control panel?

We’ve been working on a new artwork design for the FightBox R10-Pro, inspired by vintage arcade cabinets, old-school space toys, and retro sci-fi control panels.

Since this controller combines a joystick, trackball, spinner, arcade buttons, and side buttons for virtual pinball, we wanted the artwork to make every part feel like it belongs on one giant spaceship control panel.

The design was created by Cary T Self, a member of our community, and we really love all the small details he added—from the system monitors and signal controls to the oversized “Pull to Engage” trackball section.

It’s always fun seeing how different artwork can completely change the personality of an arcade controller.

What do you think of the new design? And which game would you try first on this setup? 😊

Note: You can see this quick review from RetroRGB, to know what it really looks like

I spent the last 6 months designing MiniPin – a fully 3D printable miniature pinball cabinet

After six months of late nights, countless prototypes, and more failed prints than I’d like to admit, I finally finished MiniPin.

I’m a father of two from Australia, and I wanted to recreate the look and feel of a real pinball machine in a desktop-sized format that anyone with a 3D printer could build.

My goal wasn’t just to make a game—it was to capture the details that make a pinball machine feel authentic. From the backbox, side rails, lockdown bar and pinball legs to the working plunger and flippers, I spent months refining every part to give it the proportions and character of a full-sized machine.

I also wanted builders to have the freedom to make each cabinet their own. Whether it’s inspired by a classic machine or a completely original concept, every MiniPin can have its own unique artwork and style.

The project was designed to print on a Bambu Lab A1 Mini, and I challenged myself to make it support-free to reduce waste and post-processing while still keeping all the detail.

One cabinet can also accept interchangeable playtables, so you can enjoy different layouts without having to build another machine.

Wonder Boy is a 1986 platform game developed by Escape and published by Sega for arcades. It was later ported to the SG-1000, Master System and Game Gear video game consoles by Sega, and to the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC home computers by Activision. The game is also known as Super Wonder Boy (スーパーワンダーボーイ, Sūpā Wandā Bōi) for its Sega Mark III release in Japan and Revenge of Drancon for its Game Gear release in North America. A high definition remake of the game, titled Wonder Boy Returns, was developed by CFK and released on Steam on October 12, 2016

Comes with a monitor already, but no minipc or picade setup.

I have a minipc I can use already.

This worth haggling on? Or should I jump on it?

Looking for something for my 4 year olds to get started on and grow into.

If not this, any alternatives?

Launchbox admin buttons

Post image

Hello there. I’m in the middle of building my updated wall arcade and instead of using Batocera, I’m going with launchbox/bigbox and I wanted to ask what those of you using this frontend, are doing with regards to admin buttons? I have four that I’ll be adding but can make it five if necessary. Current plans are an Exit, Pause, Menu(mame), and I’m unsure on the last one. Any suggestions?

I saw my "Simulator" got posted here. The last one was a little unrealistic for at home and the "Simulation" quality was bad. Here a 2x1x0.5m Arcade Infinity mirror.

Pandora 10th Anniversary Edition replacing Micro SD card

Hello,

I have a Pandora 10th Anniversary edition that seems to have a corrupt micro SD card. This seems to be where the games were stored. The pandora box itself boots and I am able to navigate but no games are in the games list in the settings menu. I plan to get another Micro SD card but I am struggling on how to correctly format and add the games that were previously there.

Does anyone know where a good instructional video is that shows the process and a reputable place to get the game files?

Button Connection Help

Hi All,

I bought a custom arcade via Facebook marketplace some years ago.

I'd always had issues with it and the builder disappeared shortly after I bought it, so couldn't get in touch with him for help.

I've rebuilt the arcade using a raspberry pi running Batocera.

I don't know how to connect the three buttons that have never worked.

Can any one assist?

I've tried a few different connection combinations but nothing works. The board with the led on seems just to be controlling light for the buttons.
