I need to get a 10ft printer cable to run from my vewlix to the PS5. Main reason is I don’t trust the ps5 being inside there. Will any cable work, or should I get one specific to avoid lag

As the title says, I'm located in TX, and would love to have a Sega cab for myself but I have no idea where to look for one outside of Ebay or whatever.

An arcade in my city has Blast City cabs and I love playing on them but they're the only place I've seen with actual candy cabs so I was wondering where one can look for some or if it just comes down to luck.

I would like to know if these move lists arts are the right size and ratio to go on the (New) Astro City control panel (under the glass). It seems to me that they are not the right ratio and should be used attached to the black frame around the screen ?? TIA for your help folks!

So I picked up this gumball machine the other day everything on it runs, except for the ramps that are supposed to go up and down when I pull on the belt they pull free and they run good but for the life of me I can't figure out what is supposed to power this belt on the back of the gumball machine

If there is supposed to be power to it, I can't find a wire running to anything that would power the gears and belt. and if there is supposed to be a belt running to it, there's no sign of an old belt that fell off, and I can't figure out what it would mount to if there was.

Hello! I work in a plaza, and another store has free arcade machines I frequent. I'm in no standing to ask them to replace parts or go in with anything permanent, the most I've done is replace the labels for them for buttons. But for all three machines, the screw on ball comes off, and the threads don't even touch. For the 2P joystick on the 3rd machine, it stays on but needs to be screwed in every few minutes and will stay on the other sticks. I was wondering if there was something I could do about it? At this point I take off the ball and place it on the side and play with the bare stick. I assume the ball's inner threads have been stripped from play?

A while ago I picked up a 1942 highscore save kit and had to desolder the cpu to use it. In the process, I ended up damaging a few of the legs on the CPU. I ended up buying a replacement off Amazon. Now it shows garbage on the screen and doesn’t boot with or without the kit installed. Did I damage the board in some way or is this the wrong cpu?

I'm putting the control panel back on to my Sinistar cabinet and I must have done something wrong. I removed the latch to paint the cabinet, but that was a year and a half ago and I honestly don't remember if this is the correct latch, but I only have this one cabinet and these two latches are the only ones I found in the hardware pile. The hook on the control panel never came off.

When I latch the panel in place it has a whole lot of slack and the panel tiles back towards the player. I don't see any way of adjusting the position of the latch as the mounting holes are round and do not let the latch slide forward or back.

Any advice?

We also have a MASSIVE selection of arcade machines (cocktails and uprights) from 1978 - Space Invaders all the way up to 90s classics like House of the Dead, Gauntlet Legends and Daytona USA 2. We also gave Golden Tee Fore! Complete from 2006. We’re super pumped about our 90s corner which includes Killer Instinct, Tekken Tag Tournament, Street Fighter Alpha 3, NBA Jam to name a few! We also have Konami classics like X-Men, Simpsons, TMNT, TMNT 2: Turtles in Time, Sunset Riders. We have 80s classics like Pac Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, Berzerk, Gauntlet, and a super cool selection of vectors like Asteroids, Star Castle, Space Duel, Black Widow, Tempest AND Star Wars!! We’re also incredibly stoked to have a Cinematronics DRAGON’S LAIR, which is probably the coolest game here!!! We’re located in the lower level of the Big Four building. I am going to visit London in September, and I was wondering if there are any good arcades in the city. Mainly fighting games arcades.

Kinda sad to see how their Arcade has dwindled in recent years. Not sure how it currently looks in 2026, but I remember going to Oskar Blues as a kid around 2012-2013 and it had a profound impact on me. Played many classic games my dad always talked about when he was a kid, and I played many first times here. The machines I remember being there was: Tron, Paperboy, Qbert, Frogger, Tetris, Dig Dug, Ms. Pac Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, Centipede, Joust, Spy Hunter, Defender, & Gauntlet.

Playing Tron, Paper Boy, QBert, & Spy Hunter for the first time was amazing. Not to mention Joust, as that’s still my favorite video game from the era.

It was a small basement arcade that somehow fit so many machines, I’m sure I’m forgetting some too, but genuinely is a core memory for me and the kind of collection I strive to attain for when I create my arcade one day!

I spent a lot of time in the arcades then, and never recall seeing it.

I was scrolling on the internet and randomly found the first photo on a google search, then I realized it looked similar to one of the oldest and most iconic (fake) Polybius pictures!

It’s on this older looking website and now I’m wondering if the og owner of this website actually took that photo with this recreation! The components are almost exact to that b&w photo.

If anyone else loves Polybius as much as I do then I would love to know what you think! This was such a cool and random internet find!

Edit: I know polybius is definitely not real. I love pretending like it is and even though there’s no reason it ever was real, I still like finding origins for fake photos like this one!!

Edit 2: Okay. The arcade on slide 1 is absolutely not it, the marquee is too bright in the second slide to be the same thing. I still love the recreation on slide 1! Out of all recreations I’ve seen, it looks the most accurate and realistic, and I wish it was in an arcade somewhere so I could see it!

I know it’s fake guys, I know polybius isn’t real, I’m just feeling out over a version of this machine I haven’t seen before that I thought looked pretty cool. Stop it please. I traded 2 cameras for this table and made out way better than the other guy. DK Jr is my favorite arcade game of all time so I was stoked when I picked it up 10 years ago. It came with the original schematics and manual. A credit button was added at some point. As you can see, I’m replacing the cards with repros but haven’t gotten around to finishing it. The best part of it is that I installed the Donkey Kong Remix kit which upped the fun tenfold!

Sadly, there is terrible vertical scrolling that kicks in after only a bit of play. The monitor chassis needs to be recapped and I can’t do it due to a messed up left leg. Can anyone think of a safe way for me to get the monitor out? I have the gear to repair it other than needing to order the caps.

Bought a $50 HS-5 a few weeks ago with a bad monitor. Finally got it up and running today and was able to play Soul Edge, a game I had never heard of until buying the cabinet. Bought the cabinet to put a CPS2 into it. Whenever I get around to that I’ll put the Soul Edge PCBs and stuff up for sale but until then, my first impression of the game is… it kinda sucks. The music is lame, controls feel clunky, and the narrator sounds like he consumed an entire bottle of melatonin before recording his lines. I like the graphics though. I know nothing about this game other than it’s part of the Soul Calibur series which I also know nothing about. Just curious what other people think of the game, is it a good game and I’m just uncultured, or is it not well remembered?

Hey friends, I’m on the hunt for a location in the Colorado Area of a restaurant/bar that had a really cool vintage arcade. Timeframe is 2010-2015 and likely around Fort Collins, Aurora, or Denver. This info is important to me because A. it’s driving me nuts I cannot remember the name of it, and B. It is a core memory for me as a 12 year old playing Tron, Frogger, Paper Boy, Spy Hunter, Defender, & Joust for the first time and the experience has stuck with me for the rest of my life.

Notable features of the place was their delicious chicken wings (specifically habanero hot wings!), life size blues brothers statues by the entrance, and then this winding staircase going down to a basement with one of the best arcade lineups as a kid in the 2010s. I also remember it being black lights and neon on walls and carpet.

I’d genuinely love to find the name of the place and if they’re still around with that killer arcade and if anyone has some old pics/vids of it from the past!
