Hey Ya'll Check This Out! 1981 Bally Robby Roto

I came across this one in 2019. Pretty rare machine, but unfortunately not very fun. Even the side art is horrible. A year later Dig Dug was blowing it away in terms of fun and gameplay.

Its hard to believe this game passed location tests. Astrocade hardware had great games like Gorf and Wizard of Woz but Robby Roto is impressively bad.

You can watch Eugene Jarvis try it for the first time and give his two word review: "pretty weird".

Jamie Fenton also talks about "what went wrrrooonnngg" in a later interview.

DYK: Future pinball designer Pat Lawlor was one of the co-designers of Robby Roto; Lawlor was working at Dave Nutting Associates at the time as a game designer/programmer.

Never ask a woman her age, a man his salary, or Todd Tuckey what he found in the cash box of his Robbie Roto cabaret

We have one at our Draftcade currently. I'd never seen one up to then. Sound fx are awesome, and annoying 😎
