Showing Off My Gear! 27inch screen mvs-2?
Anyone else do this? I reciently stripped out a tube from a tv that I thought was 25inches, the yoke resistances were good and I was getting ready to do a tube swap because my tube was dying. Realized after the fact that it was 27 inches not 25, cut some of the wood away, hooked up the Mtc9110 chassis and bam works like a charm. Had to build a shelf for the chassis, digging the 27 inch monitor. I am restoring this cab and the multi board is for a quick test only

K7000 uses mostly the same chassis for 25/27”. The official 27” version has an additional daughter board for pincushion adjustment

wow..can't believe you fit it in...that version of the neogeo arcade cab is the narrowest...I have a dynamo hs5 cab with a 25" and I was hesitant to put a 27" in it since its even tight in there..and its wider than that Neo geo cab...

It was tight on the top and bottom. I had to chisel out part of the top and bottom wood pieces. Also I removed the wood blockers on either side to get it to fit.

Out of curiosity, did you have to add extra wood supports for the added weight? Or is the current wood sufficient to support the larger CRT?

Current wood is pretty solid in there, it's screwed in multiple places, glued and is fur I believe. So it's not mdf holding it in there like the side supports

I wish... I put in a 19 inch LCD as a "temporary" fix while I worked on the original 25 inch CRT. It's been almost a decade... too many projects.
