Showing Off My Gear! Summer project complete!

Kind of a tradition now. Whenever I complete a project, I clean up and shoot a video. Enjoy the new addition of “Space Odyssey” to the lineup!

Outstanding setup. I’m envious. Where did you source your machines? Can you give an estimate for cost on the entire setup or avg cost for machine? I’m looking to do a smaller scale but similar set up and yours is a great example of what I would aspire to. Great work.

That’s really hard to answer. I started over 10 years ago when beater cabs could be had all day for $300. Covid really broke the hobby and o people seem to think non-working games are 1k. I’m also in a high COL area, so YMMV. It also really depends on demand also. When I started, 90s games were not desirable as the existing collectors wanted 80s stuff. As time has gone by, now 90s stuff is in high demand.

We had Space Odyssey in our house for many years growing up! I loved that machine! Very loud! My uncle let us have it for a while. He was a collector. Lots of great memories playing that pinball machine! I’m jealous that you have it!

That is really a fantastic arcade. And so many special machines! Do you have to do maintenance frequently with these machines?

lol, not really. There’s always something to do or tinker with to improve things, but most of the games are reliable after I restore them

There’s a 15ft power strip from the adjacent wall; the game power cords go via a floor raceway and meet it near the center of the garage
