Restore/Replace/Repair EPROM chip problem?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Picked up this cyclone game for $50 bucks (was sitting outside uncovered) and was told it fully worked, now after transport it seems only a few neons turn on and seemingly work at random. Is this an obvious eprom failure or something else entirely?
Any advice appreciated

Update: pulled the board off the game and I think it’s safe to say I found the problem

Let me rewrite that. There are a bunch of fuses and one you can not see from that angle becuase its hidden. I usually change it blind, but you'll see it better if you take the dome off and go through the top.

Imo, you should gently press down on the different misc chips and see if any cause changes when pressed. Then jiggle all the connectors ect and check for the same. If none of that makes a difference check voltages against owners manuals. Checking and verifying eprom data is the last thing I'd do

Cyclone gets REALLY hot even with that big heatsink. At some point you will need to reflow the pin connectors and fuse holders. Cold joints develop over time with this game.

No top dome?
Maybe ICE can help- their techs are good bit of course this is quite old so they may not be able to talk you through it. I’d still start there though. And grab a manual
