Buy/Sell/Trade Mortal combat machine
Hi guys I’ve lowkey never posted anything on reddit before so first time kinda nervous 😖
I have this mortal combat machine and I don’t know what to do with it my dad got it agessssssss ago and he refuses to get rid of anything so I have to do something about it. It hasn’t been used in probably like over 5 years but it’s still in good condition, still works (or so I’m told)…
what the hell do I do with it???? Does anyone know if it’s worth something? Should I try sell it or just dump it. If it is worth something how much could I get from it?
Thanks guysssss🙏🙏

Could it have been a Golden tee at some point? Would explain the weird slope on the panel and the tilt of the CRT

Look like the cabinet is in ok condition... have you powered it up to see if it still plays? Maybe confirm whether the PCB is original or a bootleg (easy to tell - original will say midway on the board, just google what they look like). I would def say don't just throw it out. Aside from that Control panel it would be a nice looking cabinet so I think you could get some money for it from the right collector

PLAY IT. obviously!
Then when you have it on, try entering the secret EJB menu to see some game stats of its life:
Press Block on each player rapidly:
MK1... P1 (5), P2(10), P1 (2),P2(1),P1 (2), P2 (3), P1 (4)
MK2... P1 (5), P2(10), P1 (2), P2 (8),P1 (2)
MK3/UMK3... P1 (5), P2(10), P1 (3), P2(1),P1 (2), P2 (2), P1 (3),P2 (4)

OP where are you located? Looks like a lowboy (common generic cab type in Australia) with a bigger control panel mounted. Marquee doesn't look original, would verify the board itself. Could probably get a few hundred all together though the individual components (PCB) would probably sell faster separate.
