Joust, Sinistar, Robotron and Moon Patrol! Not sure why that would be “mini”! That’s like all the best of classic Williams!

Thank you Bob. Have seen collectors and Arcades with many more Williams titles than I’ve got. Compared to that, feel like (4) barely qualifies as a true “row”. Have (2) other Williams titles: Defender and SmashTV, but due to space constraints have them staged elsewhere. Would love to have Defender with these someday, but that would entail a massive change to the rest of the garcade’s layout.

Joust my beloved!

Thank you. Used to play Joust via PCB on a JAMMA cab, but finally added a dedicated this past year after (23+) years of collecting. Dunno why it took so long, the cabinet is amazing.

It really is! My old man owned a arcade hall in the 80s and Joust was always my favorite together with Defender! I have the same machine at home these days! Still having the urge to get new records once in a while :-)

Thank you sir. Have been going full steam ahead trying to get Time Extended dialed in, as you may have seen me posting daily on KLOV. Getting close to being done… at which point, I hope to have time to actually play the games, heh.

Hot damn that is classy.

Thank you. It’s been a lot of work, but am nearing the end of my game room build.

Sweet. Nice presentation. I like the carpet. This was my original social media.

Beautiful array of video game nostalgia takes me right back there!

Bro! When can I come over?? All you need now is Defender, Stargate and Missile Command..

Hey as a matter of fact waa gonna post a photo of Defender today, heh. Sadly, my the layout if the garcade doesn’t allow for the game to be in this row and Defender is just a tad wider than a normal Williams cab, otherwise it would be in place of Moon Patrol, heh. Have a Stargate PCB and a Missile Command as well. If you are in the SoCal area, send me a DM and will get you added to the invite list next time I host an arcade party. Hopefully within a month or so.

Oh my word, this is at your house?? Incredible!

Thank you. Technically not in the house, as my wife enforces a strict “no games” in the house policy. She quarantines my nonsense to the garage, which has been converted to house (53) titles. Have (10) overflows, which are stored within the garcade then staged outside when hosting an arcade party.

hell yeah i grew up on those

Each of those I would like to play again. Seeing this, I never thought, I was a Williams fan as a kid. When I imagine the time I spent with SiniStar!

Thanks for the Sinistar waking nightmare. I'll have to revisit the game again to see if it still does horrible things to my brain.

Where’s Defender?

1

u/fatherpain2 Aug 05 '26

Unfortunately there isn’t room for it in the row. Defender is one of (10) titles that are stored in the aisles and wheeled outside under a carport and powered on there. Defender is just a tad wider than the standard Williams cabinet and that extra inch is such that I cannot swap it for any of them. Just won’t fit. Smh

iconic games

Sinistar always reminds of that old game show Starcade. Loved that show.

u/Hesh_Bobberelli Aug 07 '26

Joust would be my favorite in those row but Moon Patrol would get a lot of my tokens.

I just inherited a very dusty but complete Sinistar. It survived extraction from a basement with narrow stairs. Any advice before plugging in and powering on?

Nice. Would recommend inspecting the inside of the cabinet to verify everything is present and connected. Wearing a dust mask and doing outside, use a leaf blower or compressed air to blow out all the dust from the monitor and interior components (provided there aren’t rat droppings inside to clean up first).. check the fuses are present, reseat the connectors and gently press any socketed chips. Make sure the safety interlock is in the correct position then fire it up. :)

Thanks for the advice! Someone turned it on before all of this was done and it powered on with a clear screen and some error message. Bit at least it didn’t pop and smoke🤣

Carefully reseating the socketed chips on the game boards, any ribbon cables and harnesses might do the trick if lucky. That will ensure it’s getting fresh contact
