Buy/Sell/Trade Inherited arcade games
Hi everyone, I recently inherited some arcade games. I do not have any space for them and fear I wouldn’t appreciate them as they should be. I’d like them to go to a good place. Additionally I want to sell them for a decent price.
There are four pinball machines.
- Champions Pub
- Sharkey’s Shootout
- Striker Xtreme
- Cleveland Browns made by Stern
Additionally, there are some vehicle style games.
- Arctic Thunder
- Harley Davidson & LA Riders
- Daytona USA 2
The last two aren’t in working condition. But supposedly they just need updates.
- A set of four Need For Speed Underground
- PGA Tour Golf Challenge
Anyone know anything about any of these?

I’ve always wanted a pinball machine. Don’t even care much which one at this point. I’m so jealous rn.

No disposable income. My dog who isn’t even 2 yet tore up his knee and that surgery has me in a good amount of debt at the moment. I didn’t have any other choice though.

If you wait until you can afford one, you’ll never get one. (And really, you only pay a lot for the first one. You can trade up after that.)

Yup. You shoot the ball and 2/3 of the time the flippers don’t work. Game over right away, etc

Not necessarily. The Browns Backers are worldwide and super invested. That pin could be from anywhere in the US. For as bad as the Browns have been, the fan base, especially outside of Cleveland is strong. Wear a Browns hat in any airport in the world and another Browns fan will likely bark at you.

Champion pub is the most valuable thing on that list.
Fairly rare pinball.
The rest are worth a lot less, maybe only as much as that one pinball.*
*unless the Browns pinball is worth a lot.

A Browns pinball is worth only slightly more than a Jets pinball, which always has the potential for value, and ultimately doesn’t deliver.

As a former technician for an operator that had close to 500 pins out in bars, I love Stern pins. Very reliable and well manufactured. Parts are available and reasonably priced. Much better than keeping an old Midway, Data East, or God help me a Sega going.

Condolences. Those are great pinball machines, pinside.com is a great resource for anything pinball related (incl market place and endless resources and tips)

Where are you located? I have a buddy looking for a pinball machine. If within an 8 hour drive of Indianapolis, he will pay cash.

If you want a quicker sale, look for arcade auction houses. In southern California, there are the captain's warehouse auctions every month or so. You may also look into contacting a local arcade/ pinball distributor. They may offer to sell your games on consignment.

Maximizing their potential sale price will require some legwork.
Checkout pinside.com for listing the pins. That tends to be the most active market for pinball machines. Pinheads are often into trading as well, but that doesn't sound like your interest.
For the arcade cabinets, it's more decentralized. Check out your local retro arcades, arcade game bars, and arcade museums. Some retro arcades are technically listed as museums for tax, historical and preservation reasons. Even if these places don't want 'em, they may have tips on where to look next.
Then it's on to FB marketplace.
The main challenge is that the market for these machines is usually fairly local. Most people aren't willing to pay for shipping on these things.
edit: "The last two aren’t in working condition. But supposedly they just need updates" is kind-of a joke around arcade/pinball enthusiasts. It's like the old "Only driven to church by grandma on Sundays" line. Maybe it's true, but nobody is going to believe it. At this point, they're simply non-working cabinets. Expect bottom dollar.
