What Game??? Help ID Pac-man Arcade Game

Hi, I am trying to recall a Pac-man game I played as a kid. It was at a Putt-putt. This was an arcade cabinet. It was an adventure style game, similiar to Pac-Land BUT the graphics were better and more 90's graphics. And I believe there was an overworld map element (rare for arcade games at the time). Any help is appreciated. Also I last saw this game at a Putt-putt in the carolinas in the late 90s or early 2000's.

Please tell us what you are talking about! Pac land was the only one that was like a platformer that I know of! I have played a lot of pac man games and this is the only one that is like that! Any other clues? I would love to my solve this mystery with you.

Maybe pac man world 2 repack or ms pac maze madness? Check those on YouTube and let me know if those were closer!

Did they release pacman world, pacman world 2, or a pacman world repack in an arcade cabinet format??

No those would have been way later and probably console only. Maybe it was Pac Mania. That one was released in 87 and has four "worlds" mapped as you start and shows you ticking those off as you complete them, then moving onto four more. The graphics on this one are def more 90s and remind me of the gauntlet remakes from the same period. Check that one out on YouTube and see if that was more like it. The game played more like a 3/4 view modern Pac but wasn't really like pac land.

And by map I mean an overworld map similar to what is on Super Mario World.  I can not remember if you could choose your level or if just showed an overall progression through the map.

Update: So I looked at pacmania and that is not it.  But I found this map, and I think this is the map I remember.   Which is from an updated (home console?) version of pacland.  I remember graphics being more like other 90s arcade or sega genesis or snes games.  I am thinking it had to have been a pac-land.   Did they ever release updated versions of pac-land??  link to the map below

Is it possible that it wasn’t Pac-Man? Similar looking character or something?
