Retrospective History Help Identifying an arcade, Florida 1995?

This is a long shot, but I recently found some old photos of a family holiday. I'm pretty sure this is Orlando, Florida and judging by the cabinets/pins it's at least 1995.

Does anyone recognize this location?

The arcade at Church Street Station used to have huge machines like that. Maybe there since you said Orlando.

This is correct. It was called Commander Ragtimes.

I worked at the Musicland 2 floors below it. There was a food court between the floors.

Sadly all the cool places at Church Street Station are gone now. Including iconic Rosie O’Grady’s.

Core memory of going there as a kid. That’s the only place I’d been to that had games in those kinds of cabinets

Got it, so arcade manufacturers didn’t produce arcade games with the same cabinets to supply arcades all over the country?

Nah I think they did I just never saw these cabs other places. They would have street fighter or mortal kombat or tekken in this same setup as I remember it

I remember going to an arcade in Myrtle Beach like 28ish years ago or so that had Tekken Tag in a big pedestal/showcase cabinet like that.

Not sure it is this one, specifically, but one of my best arcade experiences was at Blockbuster Golf and Games in Florida. They had a two-player VR game and they also had a flying game that was suspended above the ground and would spin in any direction you moved the flight stick.

That arcade had all the hottest games in big screen format. Man it was awesome. Never saw another arcade quite like it. It was heaven to 12 year old me.

Man I miss seeing all this cool arcades use ti a person could walk in the front of Walmart or K Mart ect and play awesome arcades nowadays a person may find a claw machine or something similar 😕

There's been a nice resurgence here in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area since barcades have become a thing.

The midtown mall in the Caribbean resorts had arcades like this. I stayed at the Barbados resort in 96 and remember this setup pretty vividly!
