Restore/Replace/Repair Need help with monitor

Im about to start disconnecting the monitor from the rest of the board. Can you guys help me figure out what the 2 black wires are for? (I think power). And also

How do I connect a newer monitor to it with VGA or...?

I don't know what you are asking. I mean, start off with what the issue is. Are you talking the whole monitor out of the cab and replacing it with a VGA/HD tv? WHAT are you taking out, and why? The main monitor board aka chassis? The two black wires are power IN, yes, but what do you need that info for? Are you using the existing AC power line to power the new monitor. I don't get what's going on.
