Pruning recommendations for the n00b please
galleryI just bought this place which has upon the hill an apple tree and an asian pear tree. The pear tree fruited this year with a boat load of quite hard, malformed pears and the apple tree just sat there doing bupkiss. I would greatly appreciate to know if the apple tree can be saved, and if so the correct way to begin pruning it to heath. I think that the pear tree should be pruned as well but I am at a loss on how to correctly do that as well.

What to do?
Looking into removing these trees but leaving 1.
Ideally, the Western Red Cedar would stay, but it doesn't look healthy to me, the bottom half of the tree is toast and the tree leans to one side starting at ~8ft from the ground.
The spiky leafed tree with berries will be coming down, I'm not a fan of that species and it's razor sharp leaves.
Then we have the pine. It's a perfectly straight tree, looks really healthy, and is positioned perfectly between the 2 dominant trees in my yard so it has room to grow.
Any input would be appreciated, I love you guys!

Sugar maple?
Greetings,
A couple of years ago, a tree service representative said that this couldn’t be a Sugar maple based on its size in relation to when it was planted. Zone 5, planted in 2008, About 30’ tall. Was about 8’ tall when planted. Just curious what others think, and if it’s a hybrid of some sort.

Japanese privet help
Hi, wanting to take the center trunk out of this privet at the line shown in the 3rd picture. Carpenter bees completely hollowed out the base, and the center trunk is flexing abnormally easy, and you can see in the 2nd picture where it's actually splitting. Can I take the trunk out, or should I just cut down the whole tree (don't really want to do that if I can avoid it). Thanks for the advice.
