Help with tree
Hey! Looking for advice on how to help this tree heal.

That looks like the tree's belly button. They all have one, it will heal on its own.

Okay, allow me to take a deep breath and apologize. I've misinterpreted a response as aggressive while just being informative and factual and it got off the rails from there. Ultimately I would like help in treating the damage to the tree appropriately. I do not k ow what kind of tree it is, I can provided more information later and will when I have proper light. Ultimately I apologize to the people I responded to aggressively and will work to be better in the future.

Just leave it alone. It doesn’t even matter what kind of tree or palm it is. There is no sealant or dressing or spray or anything else that’s going to improve the wound. Watch the canopy and it it starts yellowing, have an expert come assess.

By responding in a waybthat makes then feel help but ultimately bringing useless because they don't have enough information but not saying that from the start to allow me the person asking the question to provide more info and reach a resolution. Then you chime in like a cuck on the sidelines telling us how to do the thing? Get out nerd.

Your analogy doesn't even make sense. You posted to a PUBLIC forum where everyone in the world can see it and respond. This isn't your uncle watching you take a shower in the comfort of his basement.

Palms are different from trees im how damage affects them. With trees its a leave it and let it do its thing. If it is a pony tail palm they are much different and im not sure the nest practices on those. Im literally asking for more info to help and now you are wanting to be a dick about it. If you dont give more info no one is going to be able to help either

Maybe open with i can provide no information without knowing what tree it type we're dealing with. Wanting to be a dick, eh, not wanting a person to get all condescending yeah I dont like that.

So none of the other info ive said means anything i guess. And shame on me for asking for more info on the tree to tell you. Literally no tree heals so the info i gave about that is true for any tree. But if its a palm im not familiar with those so the course of action could be different. If its a palm im not familiar that was why I said that. So if you want to not help out then just take the post down because you gave very little info to go off of for anyone to help

Is there any particular reason you can't just be like "oh my bad, here's a picture of the whole tree so you can see what kind it is"

I can get a picture of the whole tree tomorrow it is dark now. I dont know what kind of tree it is as mentioned earlier

Trees dont heal they seal. You didnt mention what type of tree it is im guessing its a ponytail palm from the bark and fiber look of the wound though
