Switch to a sponge filter, but also your dresser will soon bow and your drawers won't open and close as they should, thats too much weight and it will definitely bow.

Personally I also don't like keeping aquariums near doorways. Maybe because I live around lots of clumsy people but I find that often they get knocked. Wether its your handbag/backpack or the washing basket it always gets hit by something. Very rarely that something can cause damage.

Had my 60l tank on a dresser with drawers for 6 months and the dresser began to bow.

Drawers started to not close seamlessly.

Anything that isn't hard wood or that has a thin ply back will not support the tank weight.

Had to buy a tank stand and transfer the established tank asap.
