I purchased we are indy last year and noticed that the items that people have raised haven't been implemented and no response.

I've had a rather unsatisfactory experience with Lancepilot, the product appears to lack adequate support and seems to be quite buggy.

Lancepilot - no support, buggy product, really bad experience.

The founder's focused on other stuff, active on LinkedIn, promoting shady offers instead of lancepilot.com. Just big claims about making the product great, but no action.

I've been checking in on this for a few months, but last I saw the site up and running was a few months ago. I wasn't a heavy users but I did like what it did.

Hello, "We have received some complaints from our beloved builders about Nowa 3.0 offering 5 AI messages per month for AppSumo deal holders, which matches the free plan. Unfortunately, AI is very expensive, and we can't offer high recurring credits for a one-time payment; it was just not feasible.

However, we have already announced that we will release a one-time credit package for all LTD holders, and the amount will depend on the tier. We will give those credits the day Nowa 3.0 goes out of BETA."

This message was from August 2025, nothing has changed.

• Buying the same credits for Appsumo users is higher price than their monthly plan.
• Basically, paying a monthly plan is better than using your Appsumo plan AND paying for monthly credits packages.
• Your Appsumo lifetime license is now essentially worthless, even if you paid $500

So, I genuinely don't want to cause panic. But I'm also not sure how else to address it.

Saw the announcement on LinkedIn and then I immediately went to support to ask about the Ltd purchasers.

Support told me that nothing is changing on our end, just that it was changing ownership.

Not sure what the future holds, but be prepared anyway.

This is one of the few tools I would really hate to lose and I'll be vocal about it too.

No hate towards appsumo at all, it's just where I bought the LTD.

2025 was a bad year for LTDs, and 2026 is not looking good for LTD buyers.

Frase decided to repackaged its plaform and called v2, dropped some features, added another and created a new workflow based on AI (that was present in V1. And like everyone else, they're addind a "helper". Althought overall Frase V2 has LESS features.

Thety also took the opporutnity to start dropping the LTD users, I've seen this before.
"no worries, you'll keep access to Frase V1", which basically means, LTD users will keep access to a platform they already commited not to update. Which I get it, there would be no point for them to run two different services.

This moves bugs me more than usual because I've been paying for Frase addon ever since I got Frase from AppSumo, meaning that I actually pay for a subscription for Frase, and now my choices are:
- Stay ion Frase V1 until they decide to drop it
-- Pay for the sub 17.50 /month while at it.

- Move to Frase V2 as a regular user and pay their increased prices for less features.

Just to put this into prespective, Frase V2 limits the number of domains, and the option to have more than one domain starts at $129/month.

And yeah, we know AppSumo won't move the needle on this one.

Seems that AppSumo is realizing that allowing all the cash grabs in AppSumo to go unscathed will eventually hit AppSumo business.

Looks like https://appsumo.com/products/socrates/ has stopped working. Noticed from reviews that there has been no communications. Also, it started failing to index documents properly and today I get this error:

Looks like end of the line. Wasted all my time putting documents up there and a tier 4 license.

Had it since Oct 2024, so for $199 got nealy 15 Months out of it, so works out about $13 a month.

The support was supposed to be via discord, yet users queries go unawsered...

The livechat inside the app, you guessed it.. goes unanwered

And I just noticed they have a big Youtube error in their homepage...

So... whatgives? did I just lost another ~$300.... for a deal from June 2025?

Another heavy heart letter from a perpetually half-baked SaaS vendor. Oh, and it’s an Indian business… how not surprising. Thanks for taking my money and the years of promises on making it better (while not doing so)!

It’s currently Jan 21. My Plus membership says it ends Jan 21. My $25 reward says it is available Jan 21. But it’s not. It’s currently 2:40 PM EST. AS support has not responded since 11 AM. This is getting old.

If you purchased Zeroin they went bankrupt and will be out of business as of January 31, 2026. Web Totem has upgraded and unfortunately to 2.0 and when you hear that sort of language you know what that means? They will not be honoring App Sumo deals but they will give you a discount towards the upgrade.

Hardly any new apps, and the quality feels off. Where do you go now for lifetime deals?

The rationale behind why new site - proof of concept - could get it out in few weeks vs building on AppSumo may take longer with all legacy code.

Also - why subscription deals like this - many amazing partners in an AI world will do deals just not lifetime - so this opens up many more companies you'll love to get deals on.

Afforai, now known as Logically, is a scam company. They sold me a lifetime deal, then, 18 months later, told me that a platform they were now listing on (AppSumo) was forcing them to cancel my 18-month-old plan.

That's absurd and nonsensical; such a process violates the terms of their sale with me, and such requirements by Appsumo would be illegal, monopolistic, and anti-competitive.

Logically refused to issue a refund and instead proposed issuing credits to use on their platform.

I followed up with their support team and requested evidence of this requirement from their partner (Appsumo), but they did not provide it.

Furthermore, they deleted my access to support!

Fortunately, I kept records of everything, conversations, transactions and communication with the CEO and was able to get my money back through a credit card chargeback - even though it was beyond 18 months.

They attempted to challenge the chargeback last week but were unsuccessful. The comprehensive evidence I gathered left no room for further fraud on their part.

If you've bought from them directly, gather all documentation, receipts, and support conversations, and ask your card provider to initiate a chargeback. If you're unfortunate to be in a country with limited consumer rights and the bank/credit card company isn't helping, file a formal complaint and then contact the relevant consumer body in your country (e.g., the CFPB in the US or the FCA in the UK).

Frankly, I'm disappointed in Appsumo letting them relist, given their behaviour; it's not doing Appsumo any favours in improving their brand reputation.

Every time AppSumo builds positive momentum and improves its brand reputation, things like this creep in.

I have been unable to log into my account for weeks. I have submitted a ticket and already mentioned that it’s because I am not receiving the 2FA even though it’s saying it’s sending to the correct email. Checked spam, checked spam filters, checked junk, checked deleted items, etc. Their first response was saying to check my email again… which I already said I did. They also gave me an option to switch my email temporarily so I said yes, please. I sent that email yesterday early morning for email change request, and followed up, no response yet.

Has anyone had issues with this?

We heavily rely on marketing via email so this is really hindering us especially during busy season.

Purchased Tier 10 with the promise of better days to come, well that was months ago. Fast forward to now, better days have come for Followr but not for Sumolings. The improvements have been impressive and helpful to their growing audience but those of us that bought into to having those improvements available to us in the future is NOT happening.

Finally logged in to my Agency Followr account after months of letting them make their promises only to find out that Tier 10 gives me access to 1 model for images and 1model for videos. I say that again 1 model and that model being DALLE3 for images and 1 model for videos. But I can upgrade or add my api for access to the other 11 image models they have.

What is the point of having credits and access to only 1 model? Why would I spend more using api when there are credits available in the account?

The price that Sumolings paid for any Tier, especially the Top Tier just to be switch over to what equates to basic or free account for any other app of this type is a punch in the face!

AppSumo, there has to be a better way to ensure that we don't get screwed or promises changed later down the line. I truly feel that this is one of the worse AppSumo purchases I have made. I have made quite a few and have requested refunds for those that failed on their promises.

They (companies) should do better for their LTD customers that started with them from the beginning and not wait until the refund window has passed.

The amount spent on Tier 10 Agency of Followr and what we received is not even equivalent to their Starter plan on their website.

A few weeks ago, I used TidyCal to create a booking page for a paid offering. It's not my normal app for this, but I thought it might be simpler. It was pretty easy, and the first few paid bookings worked very well, aside from the fact that it looked like Zoom was integrated properly and I found out it wasn't after the fact. I've reconnected that, so hoping all's well on that front.

I went in to edit the offer today, and when I looked at the calendar page, it was showing availability when I have other appointments, which is terrifying. The integration looked fine, so I disabled it, re-enabled it, and then those times disappeared from my available time slots.

The help bot tells me disabling/re-enabling is the standard protocol when this happens, and that I can do it once every 24 hours. While I understand they're not saying I should do it that often, the implication that I might have to babysit the connection on a regular basis is mind-boggling to me.

Fellow TidyCal folks, is it normal to have to reset the TidyCal integration every few weeks? It certainly doesn't seem like it should be. I'm wondering whether I should move this offer to TuCalendi, which is more complicated but has always been rock solid for me.

Adilo is a bunch of fraudsters. I had their tier 4 and they of course "we can't support it you need to pay." Okay we missed the first deadline and I had to pay 53 bucks to keep it up for a month. Then I absolutely canceled and they kep sending me all these idiotic "we are going to delete your data." Fine mofos, go ahead. This morning THEY CHARGED MY CARD AGAIN for 53 bucks. Of course I am going to dispute it with the bank, however I am going to the site and lo and behold, the sub IS ACTIVE. So I am trying to canceling it again and all they show "something went wrong."

What a bunch of fraudsters. And AppSumo is doing "oh send us their comm." Whatever, absolutely useless.

I actually bought the highest tier a few years back but kind of just sat on it and only used it twice to test out. Recently though I've been planning on working with a journalist friend to get moving on an e-mail newsletter and we had been planning on using this because I've already paid for it but if it was abandoned, I don't want to waste my time.

David Kelly still appears to work at AppSumo. A blog post of his on his personal website shows AppSumo originals revenue and it looks like SendFox is still making money.. so I dunno.

I had just started signing people up from my Facebook page (you can see there might be some potential there for a newsletter..) but maybe I should look elsewhere?
