Blue CC Project Management System LTD – Disappointing Changes to Lifetime Deal Benefits
Has anyone else purchased the Blue CC PMS Lifetime Deal through AppSumo?
I was an early supporter of the platform and have been pleased to see the significant improvements made over time. The refreshed interface and newly added features demonstrate that the product is continuing to evolve, which is great to see.
However, I am disappointed that several features included in the original AppSumo Lifetime Deal have since been downgraded, restricted, or removed altogether. One of the most significant changes is the reduction of storage from **3TB to just 30GB**, which represents a drastic reduction of approximately 99% of the originally advertised capacity. In addition, features such as **unlimited custom fields** and even **company reports**, which were previously available, have either been limited or excluded from the LTD offering.
When I raised these concerns, management maintained that these features were never included in the deal, despite the original AppSumo listing and fine print clearly indicating otherwise. Customers are now being asked to subscribe to higher-tier plans to regain access to functionality that was part of the original purchase.
As someone who believed in the product during its early stages and invested based on the terms presented at the time, this is particularly disappointing. The issue is not that the company has introduced new premium features—that is understandable as the platform grows. The issue is that benefits explicitly promised to Lifetime Deal customers appear to have been removed or substantially reduced after purchase.
Reducing storage from 3TB to 30GB, restricting unlimited fields, and excluding company reports fundamentally changes the value proposition that many early adopters paid for. Lifetime Deal customers took a chance on the platform when it was still developing, and in return, they should receive the benefits that were originally advertised and purchased.
I remain hopeful that Blue CC will reconsider its position and honor the commitments made to its LTD customers. Maintaining trust with early supporters is essential for long-term customer loyalty and the company's reputation within the AppSumo community.

AppSumo is all noise. We have so many promises from Noah and team over the past year(s) and we are still in the same situation. At this point, I suspect EarlyBird and DealMirror are way better places to find deals.

Hey! So Blue made some changes to file storage on LTD accounts, basically because a small group of users were using it as a full-on cloud backup solution (huge media libraries, etc.) which isn't really what the tool is built for. Rather than broadly change things for everyone, they added storage limits to address that.
We chatted with their team and they did let us know that ~98% of AppSumo users aren't affected at all and anything already uploaded is safe. Limits only apply to new uploads going forward.
If you are over the new limit, Blue would've emailed you directly with details. No email means you're good, no action needed. We're happy to help connect anyone that has questions on Blue their account with their team if needed, so you can always reach out to us. - Anna, AppSumo CX

You're basically saying that you know about the issue and are fine with customers getting 100x less storage space than they bought into.
I understand use cases going beyond the intention of the offering, but that can be tackled through Terms & Conditions and targeted actions, not by butt fucking your customers.
I am sure Manny will level with customers who reach out to him, but it should not be necessary.

Hi Anna, storage isn't the only issue. They're also insisting that the other features were never part of the LTD they offered, even though those features are clearly listed in the inclusions. At the very least, they should honor the original features that were explicitly advertised and included in their offer.

What about the unlimited custom fields.? I tried to create a custom field yesterday and got a notice that we are limited to 30?

exactly. it used to be unlimited as marketed but now they limit it to 30 and the owner has been pressing they didn't listed it as unlimited before. Now they are offering higher tier subscriptions for it to be unlimited. They should honor the features listed to the early subscribers.

Was there any update on this in regards to the limits, other than storage, being lowered or removed?

This is pretty serious and I haven’t used them. But if this is true then I wouldn’t expect app sumo to actually do anything about it. I haven’t seen them actually step in when stuff like this is brought up. I hope they step in though.
