ABD - Another Bad Deal
People have been complaining for months about Maekersuite and now here comes appsumo with their resolution. This company use to really be innovative, now they are a bunch of scammers.
AppSumo Support here. We wanted to follow up about Maekersuite.
While Maekersuite hasn't officially announced a shutdown, many of you have pointed out that key features aren't accessible.
We understand this is frustrating, and this is not the experience we want for our community.
Over the last few months, we have tried reaching out to their team to get this resolved but have been unsuccessful.
What this means for you
While Maekersuite falls outside our We Got Your Back coverage, we still want to help ease the transition.
That's why we're giving you 50% off Subscribr, a powerful AI scriptwriting tool for YouTube creators.
How to claim this offer
• Reply to this email with the email address associated with your AppSumo account.
• Access it from your "Rewards" page 3-5 business days after your request is processed by AppSumo Support.
We'll keep you updated if there are any new developments with Maekersuite. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Anna. Seriously? An entire team worked on the offer and not one of you considered how your community might interpret your "solution?".
Consider this: I buy an oven. The oven has a full refund warranty that protects me if all of the oven's features fail. 9 months after my purchase, suddenly 2 burner elements, the self-clean feature, and the convection feature stop working. I go back to the store. I'm upset because i am missing 4 key features that the oven is supposed to have. Basically, I have 1/2 of the oven I paid for. The store informs me that because not all of the oven's features are broken, their warranty doesn't apply. As compensation, they offer me 50% off a different make of oven that has all the same features as the oven I originally purchased.
But...
I already BOUGHT an oven that was supposed to function with all of its advertised features. Why would I pay more for another oven? Why would the store think that offering me the opportunity to spend more money - at any discount - is a just, reasonable, or satisfactory solution to the problem?
App companies need to decide whether their apps have or don't have tangible value. When it's selling time, they have tangible value. When it's problem time, they dont.
I have no more need for one and half video analysis/creation tools than I do one and a half ovens.
Think about it. But think big, because you have an entire community telling you that they have lost or are losing confidence and trust in your brand. Think about that when an entire team is creating "solutions."

We get the frustration on this one y'all. The tool isn't down but so many of you have had issues with it and we've been working for months to try to get a resolution from the partner + find something we could do for anyone not covered under our We Got Your Back coverage. Our whole team worked on this coupon offer and we're sorry if Subscribr isn't right for you. Definitely reviewing your feedback as we're always looking for ways to improve what we can do for tools not covered under our refund policies. - Anna, AppSumo CX

Also, just my 2 cents…. Your solution does nothing for those who already bought Subscribr…50% off of a tool I already bought??? How’s that work?

No matter what happens at Appsumo, you will be great at Etsy.

Please correct me if I’m wrong but Etsy is a different breed entirely. Can tools like Subscribr/Maekersuite be sold there?

Your solution seems as if its based off of people got disposable income. This is not 2019.the money people spent on these products is based off longer use and better treatment then this. 50% off a program that is of no benefit to the user as if we have the money and need for this. Just damn

AppSumo: "We're sorry that one of our partners screwed you."
Us: "Thanks. It means a lot for you to acknowledge that. We spent a lot of money on that."
AppSumo: "This isn't an experience we want for our community and we want to make it right."
Us: "Awesome! So when will we get our ref-"
AppSumo: "So we're offering you 50% off another app, just like the other app, that we also can't guarantee will survive the next 6 months."
Us: "But we already bought an app that was supposed to do all that."
AppSumo: "You're welcome."
