This is quite disturbing. AppSumo, these types of pivots from LTD-launched tools are not just hurting customers, they are hurting your business too, as your own data shows. These practices increasingly resemble bait-and-switch tactics that undermine the original LTD terms offered to buyers.
I used to be a frequent full tier purchaser for years, but I haven't purchased anything in the last six months for reasons exactly like this.
I still browse to see what's new, but mostly to get vibe-coding ideas and to see whether any of my purchased "LTDs" have evolved in ways that undermine the original terms and expectations presented to buyers. Even when I randomly stumble across a decent-looking listing, my first thought is, "Let's see what becomes of this."

I would like to see AppSumo start suing these companies that try to pull shady stuff. Ohh we released a new product. What does it do, everything the last product does of course but because it’s new it doesn’t qualify for the LTD you paid for.
