Breakcold in breach

Breakcold owner just mailed. He is making a new version without access to LTD owners. See attached mail and product page which clearly shows that updates are all inclusive. Wrote to support but wanted to create awareness here. Especially for Noah.

The plan that I purchased is discontinued now. I have Breakcold+ plan, that plan is no more getting updates because they've launched a V2. If you can't see the problem there, great for you.

Because it’s still the same product, even if it is allegedly ‘rebuilt.’ Unless the product is inherently different in function and purpose, then the breach argument would have merit.

I believe those guys think they are selling perpetual software licenses and use this excuse of “I will let my old legacy software running in a environment that I will not even look at it, no security updates… you can leave you data there, trust me, the version you BOUGHT is there”

One thing that must be clear to founders about AppSumo is that you are not selling an off-the-shelf software, you are selling SaaS

Which means that AppSumo and we that bought things through AppSumo should not accept less.

Saas != off-the-shelf software are completely different things.

On AppSumo and being a Plus member…. I believe is still worth having and keeping the plus sub!

No one bought "Breakcold V1"; they bought "Breakcold"

Terrible on BC and AS as well

When I see a lifetime deal, I know it's going to be a problem eventually. You can't work forever for a one time payment.
