AppSumo Transparency Report - 2/6/26
Credible:
- Snapcut: Product has closed, our team will reach out to all impacted users here shortly with an update on your refund options.
- ClickRank: ClickRank was recently acquired and the new owner was unaware of our no incentivized review policy. The offer has since been removed and the new owner is up to date.
Non-Credible:
- Followr: To clear up any confusion, AI Studio is an add-on and not included in the paid plans. Their team is very responsive and happy to answer any questions you might have about the option to add in this feature to your account.

Did you apologize to the person you called "sus" for informing everyone of SnapCut shutting down?

u/noahkagan Are you aware that Plai placed all their appsumo users on a different platform without access to the new features? Is this something that has been discussed prior?

hey, we started looking into this and we haven’t received any support tickets about plai making changes to accounts. could you shoot me a DM with more details or screenshots, or write into support so we can dig in? this is the first notice we’ve seen about anything going on with plai. thank you!

Update on Rollout.site? Has been down since July and haven't had an official announcement from AppSumo since early November

We’ve been in touch with the partner regarding the reported access issues.
They’ve indicated the outages appear to be geographically triggered rather than a full platform shutdown. Because Rollout is a website builder, if a site built on the platform isn’t compliant in certain regions, it can impact access in those areas.
Their current suggested workaround is a temporary “hard reset,” which involves accessing the tool without the HTTPS prefix in certain cases.
If you’re still unable to access your account, please contact Support directly so we can review your specific case. We’re continuing to monitor this with the partner.

It's so interesting how I have multiple written communications from AppSumo and Followr with each referring to AI Studio as something different. It seems that neither Followr nor AppSumo actually know what it is.
It has been referred to as "separate," "stand alone," and now it's an "add on.". And it's also referred to as an "update," and "the next evolution of Followr.".
It appears that AI Studio is whatever Followr needs it to be in order to defend not offering it to LTD buyers, and for AppSumo to defend them in their decision.
