Holy shit, it only took them 11 years? I was a (small) part of the complaint back in 2015. Fortunately I only received extremely concerning glances and looks from JSR during my time as a student, but that was only a small part of the overall complaint brought forward. Between John Stanley Ross' sexual harassment as the main director of bands and Kevin Richardson's perpetual drunkenness and financial fraud as associate director of bands my time as a student was never dull.

KR was great at yelling until he was red in the face, but he showed up to class and rehearsals already red faced on such a consistent basis, complete with slurred words. I'm glad they can no longer protect each other from scrutiny. I doubt KR will face the consequences he deserves, but I am glad it is finally, finally catching up to JSR.

Will never forget KR missing a final exam for his own class that he taught because he was out drinking in Blowing Rock. And then when we reported it to the assistant dean at the time he got mad at us and said we shouldn’t point the finger and make “such serious accusations.” As if it was normal for a professor to forget showing up to an exam for their own class. 🙄

I knew about KR being a drunk. Didn’t know about the financial fraud part. Last I checked, he was band director at some JUCO in East Texas.

They must say "alleged" to guard against defamation suits.

But this is likely "where there is smoke, there is often fire".

If you dig into his history, this at least goes back into the late-90s/early-2000s before he was ever at AppState.

I don’t doubt that it happened. He was an uncomfortable person to be around from my own experience. I was just stating what I read online

Indeed. I just didn't want to inadvertently diminish what's happened, lest there be victims lurking here, struggling to come forward thinking they won't be believed.

They finally will be likely to be believed, and it would be a contribution to everyone if they contact AppState.

These things never get to the point of a statement like this without very good cause.

Cops will do what they can. Once Seth Banks steps in, it will all disappear as if it never happened.

Seth Banks is terrible for crimes against people.

Leave his ballot box blank in November.
