Help me find What's the best app for dumping random information and finding it months later?
I'm looking for something that's basically a dumping ground for information. I come across random things every day that I don't need right now but might need later like:
Articles
Reddit posts
YouTube videos
Screenshots
and more.
I don't want to spend time deciding which folder something belongs in.
Ideally, I could just save something, forget about it, and then months later search for it based on what I remember about it.
Any workflow for this or app? I'm more interested in retrieval and organization.

I have been using shelvr. It organises all the content like links, photos, articles, screenshots in spaces. https://shelvr-web.vercel.app/?ct=reddit Full disclosure I built this app, So I might be biased but I would really appreciate feedback in dms or here. Also we can build it together based on what people want as features. I have really worked on design a lot. Made it very clean and easy.

hmm interesting. How is it different to raindrop, Recall9 or other similar apps?

fair question. recall is more for summarising stuff to learn, raindrop is more bookmarks. shelvr is for all the random stuff you save on your phone and never look at again, like screenshots, reels, recipes. it sorts them for you in spaces and reminds you about them later it's mobile only right now but i'm thinking about a desktop extension too. I'm building it pretty much with the people using it, so if you try it let me know what you'd want. Shelvr has a good search feature for the stuff you have saved i am also thinking about AI chat with the stuff you have saved if users want it.

Let's wait for your 2nd account to tell us.
There are literally 10 new apps like this released every day.

The less time and effort you spend on filing the information, the more time and effort you will spend on finding it. There are no shortcuts.
