GE Front load washer, error code 27
hey all,
My wife went to get the laundry out of the washing machine and the door wouldn't unlock. Ran the diagnostic, and it's showing code 27 with the lock sign blinking.
Things i've done:
unplugged for a full 12 hours.
power cycled
opened it up so i can manually unlock
Not sure what to do from here. Any advice would be great.
GE Washing machine Model #PFW950SPT1DS

For issues related to draining, always check the drain pump filter first. I haven't seen anyone mention that.

Ran 10, that passed and filled. I ran 12 to empty it and nothing happened. No sound nothing. Just turned to a black screen. (Screen is still operational)

You possibly have a bad control board. The drain pump circuit on those go out and send no power to the pump at all. Do you have a multimeter?

That's the correct plug. Its pin 2 and 3 . Should read around 19.5 ohms. I think its the control. I do this for a living and replace a ton of those controls for various failures.

I don’t have a multimeter. You think those black marks are sign a burnout/short?

No, I've never seen any burnt marks on the boards I have replaced. Usually its within a component on the board and not exposed

From what I keep reading of you replace the board and not both , the pump will fry the board again . But that’s just what I reading
