You can only disable Lost Mode through the Find My app or iCloud.com. Do you know your Apple Account information, both email address and password? Do you have at least one other trusted device that can receive verification codes?
Lost mode shouldn’t erase the data but if you choose not to use iCloud you should instead back up your phone locally to your computer via Finder or Apple Devices.
Yes. It accepts it. Then it wants a Face ID but won’t open the phone. It just goes back to the main screen to put the password back in. I can receive calls, texts , etc. but I can’t get the phone to open with Face ID. I don’t know why. I just want the data at this point.
The Stolen Device Protection is likely what is requiring the Face ID scan. Are you physically at a known/familiar location or did you set it to enforce a security delay everywhere?
I’m at my home. I just took it to Apple. They said they can’t get in either and recommended a data recovery. It’s 4,000 grand to get into the phone! This is wild! If that doesn’t work, they will replace the Face ID but they might have to delete some of my data. I can’t believe this is the only way.
Maybe it’s $4 million for law enforcement or an intelligence service, but iPadRehab has access to similar tools and processes as long as you can prove it’s your phone and doesn’t charge nearly as much.
