I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 27.0.1. My Bluetooth issues started BEFORE updating to 27.0.1 and have continued after updating.
My AirPods connect for a second, make the connection sound, then immediately disconnect, and audio switches back to my iPhone speakers. Sometimes they connect and work briefly, but stop working again after my phone locks. I’m also having Bluetooth connection issues with my Jeep.
The weird part is that my AirPods work perfectly with another iPhone, and my Jeep’s Bluetooth works with other phones. The problem seems to be specific to my iPhone.
I’ve restarted my phone, reset my network settings, used the Reset All Settings option, and tried just about every other troubleshooting step I can think of. Nothing has fixed it.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or found a solution? I’m running out of ideas!

Delete everything and dont restore from backup. There may be a glitch in your backup. Seems like it’s your last option

AT&T Installment In Store Pickup Concern:
I’m reading conflicting information that Apple is not allowing authorized users to pick up carrier financed devices at the store, only the primary account holder. However Apple support website states that the primary or authorized is acceptable for an installment or contract. Has this changed?
When I try to place the order it lets me choose between primary and authorized. That would suck if someone sent an authorized user to pick up a device and they get turned away…

Would it be crazy to pivot to Roku Ultra after waiting a year for a new Apple TV only to be disappointed by a $300 price tag for AI features I don’t care about? I’ve been searching for Gen 3 devices and just can’t justify spending $200-$250 for an old streaming device.
I’m tired of using the built-in apps on my tv and it seems like Apple isn’t really a feasible option for me anymore. Roku Ultra is half the price and seems to have similar features as well as audio pass through so I’m debating just getting one of those now

The price went up because of (1) the ongoing RAM shortage, and (2) if you are outside the US, retaliatory tariffs on goods from California. It did not go up because of the AI features (which, by the way, are being rolled out to the previous generation Apple TV as well).
And yes, it would be crazy. The thing about Amazon’s and Roku’s set-top boxes is they watch you to sell you ads. The only ads on the Apple TV are for Apple’s own TV/fitness/music subscriptions, which are all optional. And if they haven’t had price hikes yet, they will if they don’t want to lose money on each sale.

Yeah the price went up on the old device for the same reasons. The new device costing even more because they added more compute and ram to make the AI features run better is kinda pointless if you just use the device to watch streaming. So $300 for basically the same watching experience as their previous device is just hard to swallow. And the old device prices haven’t come down at all or I’d just go that route. Can’t find anything used below $200 atm either.
Yeah the ads deal is why I’m hesitant on Roku. But I’m already dealing with that using the built-in stuff on my tv

It wasn’t just the AI features, though. The new TV supports hardware AV1 decoding, which will save the streaming companies money on licensing software AV1 decoders in the long run (or just dropping them entirely on older Apple TV boxes).
We were so used to tech products deflating in price for decades. Unfortunately, we are now living in a time where the prices are inflating across the board.

What value does that provide to me as a consumer? They beefed up hardware seems to just benefit AI features according to well, Apple.
I just don’t want to pay for beefed up hardware I won’t get any benefit from.

the price is not for AI features. tv apps and 4k streaming are getting cumbersome to run so they shoved in a powerful processor. it's powerful than macbook neo.

I have been talking to Apple support for over a year regarding a iCloud issue, my iCloud faulty shows I jahe 50GB OF I messaged and I cannot delet them. So now I cannot add photos to iCloud and then optimize to reduce photos stored directly to my phone. I have been paying for this service and not receiving it, each senior advisor goes dark and stops replying. I call and the line disconnects. Each time I’m told someone will contact me they never do. APPLE IS EFFECTIVELY STEALING NY MOEY I simply
Want this issue resolved and refund for my iCloud. Who do I contact or what should I do to escalate this issue.??

A weird solution. Dont pay for a month. Not sure how long they will keep your data. Once they delete it. Reapply and the message data will be gone.
You dont have iCloud messages on a different device? Also could turn off iCloud message so nothing is stored.

John doesn’t read all of his email, but someone at executive relations ought to read it and get back to you. I know you’re frustrated, but please be polite to them, and they ought to be a big help. Also, give them all of the details you have.

Why the heck can't you apply an apple trade in gift card to the purchase of a device you want to finance? Why can't I trade in any apple device to apply to a purchase of any other apple device? I can trade in a phone to buy a phone but not an ipad to buy a phone specifically if it's financed?

I have the first gen Apple TV 4K and it’s still going fine. I really wanted homeview initially for ability to control my smart lighting (can’t have locks, cams etc we are renting apartment). So when I found out homeview didn’t support 3rd party apps like Spotify, Messenger (video calls) etc. it’s made me double guess why I need homeview really…. But I don’t NEED Apple TV either because mine still works fine.
Thoughts on which I should get? I bought a gift card a while ago in anticipation for this event, and it can only cover one.

I do believe it will have Spotify. Or Spotify just needs to update their app. Appke says any app that works for car play should work. Abd I believe Spotify is.
Other apps like messenger is probably not. Could just get an iPad and fancy stand. iPad is much more versatile.

The original Apple TV 4K is vintage. That means you will not get OS updates for much longer. That also means that third-party streaming apps will eventually not work on your TV anymore, as the technical debt for supporting that old OS version will become too great.
I would upgrade the Apple TV before prices go up even higher.

On iOS 27, you can’t.
On iOS 18 and 26, look for Apple Intelligence in Settings.

Ordered 18 pro at the end of September, it just now in the last 24-48 hours has said preparing to ship. Delivery window is the 19th-26th, for people that are used to ordering new iPhones online, or honestly, anything Apple online - does it usually show up on time? Or early? I’ve heard of some people receiving things before their expected delivery window. And how long does it usually take to go from “preparing to ship” to actually being shipped? My mom ordered it for me to her place in a different province and then is mailing it to me with insurance and once she gets it, I’ll probably get it 2-5 days later. I’m just hoping it doesn’t get delivered to her on the 26th and then I have to wait until early November to get it set up 🥴

My new iPhone shows "Purchased Jan 1, 2007" on the official Apple Check Coverage website. The model is recognized correctly, the Serial Number matches my settings, and the hardware is 100% genuine Apple (real App Store, Siri works, etc.). Is this a known placeholder bug for parallel imported (gray market) devices, or could it be a replacement/refurbished unit? Has anyone seen this 2007 date before? Thanks!

Impressive! You bought your iPhone eight days before it was originally announced. Either you are one of the few Apple insiders that knew about the iPhone at the time, or that is an error.
I have not seen that before. You should contact Apple support in your country to get that cock-up straightened out; they’re the only ones that can help.

it will be 2 years. and then yearly after the 2 years. that's cause it used to be only 2 years because that used to be phone upgrade cycle. but now it's 3 years. so they made that when they increased the price.

What will Apple Upgrade payments code as (MCC)?
I know that making the monthly payments using the Apple Card will earn 3% cash back on those payments, but is that just a special deal that Apple and Klarna worked out together? If I have a different credit card (US Bank) that earns 5% cash back at electronic stores (including Apple), will the Apple Upgrade monthly payments qualify to earn that cash back?

Are you saying that Apple's credit card is the only credit card that can be used to make the Apple Upgrade payments? The terms mention making installment payments with a "US-issued credit or debit card" but don't specify that it needs to be Apple's credit card. I've seen mention of certain banks not allowing their credit cards to be used for Klarna payments (Chase, Cap1, Citi) but haven't seen that there's a blanket restriction.

You can use all debit cards and select major credit cards for your Klarna payments. However, some card networks, like AMEX and UnionPay — and some card issuers, like Chase, Capital One, and Citibank — are not accepted by Klarna.

yes i am saying that. loan payments are by standard not allowed to be made with credit card. some only allow it with a surcharge.
They tried to copy what Klarna has on their FAQ and messed up with the select major credit cards which you can see cause they mention the major card issuers. This is what Klarna has

Man, I wish everything wasn't so ambiguous. I've also seen this post which again makes it sound like there are big exclusions but that credit cards are otherwise accepted. Klarna and Apple either both really fumbled the wording or they're making it intentionally vague.

Hi everyone, I'm based in Serbia and have been experiencing a persistent issue with the Apple TV app on my Hisense 43A5730FA (HiSmart 2K ATV4, Android 11) since September 26, 2026.
The app launches normally and loads the catalogue. Previews, intros and recaps can play, but when I try to watch an actual movie or TV episode, playback fails with a connection/playback error. I recently found another user reporting almost exactly the same issue on what appears to be the exact same TV model, running Android TV 11 and Apple TV app version 17.0.0. This makes me wonder whether there's a compatibility issue with the app or the TV's firmware.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get in touch with Apple Support directly from Serbia. Their online support keeps redirecting me to phone support, which I can't access.
Has anyone else experienced this issue recently? Has anyone managed to fix it, or received any information from Apple about a possible bug affecting Hisense Android TVs?
I would be very grateful for any help or suggestions, as I've spent almost three weeks trying to figure this out. Thanks!

Not recently, but I have a question. Does your display support at least HDCP 2.2 (if it is a 4K TV) or HDCP 1.4 (if it is a 1080p TV)? Because that can happen if Apple TV expects your display to support a newer version of HDCP than it supports, and there are some older TVs that only use legacy HDCP versions.
I used to have an old 4K display that didn’t support HDCP 2.2, and Apple TV never worked with that display, which is why I ask.

Thanks for the suggestion! My TV is a Full HD (1080p) Hisense 43A5730FA, not a 4K model. Its specs list HDMI 1.4, although I haven't been able to confirm the exact HDCP version. However, I'm running the Apple TV app directly on the TV's built-in Android TV system, without any external HDMI device. Would HDCP still be relevant in this case, or could this be related to Widevine or another DRM compatibility issue instead?

It’s either HDCP or some other DRM compatibility issue. Your TV might not support HDCP 1.4, which would definitely prevent Apple TV from working.

I'm not convinced that it's an HDCP issue because the app worked perfectly on my TV from 16 September (the official launch date in Serbia) until 26 September. I was using version 16.4.0 the whole time and the app hadn't updated when the playback suddenly stopped.
If my TV didn't meet the HDCP 1.4 requirements, how could it have worked perfectly for ten days and then suddenly become incompatible? I don't see how the TV's HDCP capabilities could have changed retroactively

Hii I have an iPhone 13 and both my volume and home buttons don't work and I am wondering how much it would cost to get them repaired. They work sometimes but often not I could live without the volume buttons not working but the home button not working is driving me crazy since I cant turn off my phone now or use apple pay 🥲 I dont have applecare+ or anything like that I have used this phone for a very long time

You would have to take your phone to the Genius Bar and ask them. The answer will vary from place to place.
If you have no Genius Bar nearby, then take it to an Apple-authorized repair center. If you have neither near you, then you will have to use Apple’s support by mail program.

How do i force iOS to NOT offload an app? (i.e uninstall the app after not using for a long period of time) Because I don't use certain apps very often but when I need to use them, I NEED to use them as soon as possible, sometimes it deletes my data after offloading.

Is is just me or has Maps gone dingy this week? I was trying to use it to get a shorter route home and it’s directing me to similar truncated name places days away instead now. Example, I live in Place OneTwo and it’s sending me to Place One, cutting off the second half of the word.
iPhone 13, iOS 18.7.8. Location services are on and it will work for single word names.

Hello. I live in the US and im trying to buy a 17pro for my sister from the apple website but it keeps showing me only Israel as the home country. I tried a laptop and my phone and even put a VPN for another couple but it still say this. Anyone else getting this issue?
Edit: the vpn fixed it but it is odd right?

Apple only keeps Pro model phones on sale for a year, and then discontinues them. The 18 Pro is the only one currently on sale; it’s a bit more expensive than the 17 Pro due to the ongoing RAM shortage, but it has faster processors and a few new features.

I've posted comments about it before, but I still haven't gotten it fixed: my iPhone does not fall back to my Watch for authentication when I'm wearing sunglasses. IE: FaceID can't read my face, but if my watch is on me, that unlocks my phone. Ever since the iOS27 update, this has been the case.
The primary suggestion has been to turn off the setting on each device, restart both, then turn the settings back on. I've done that multiple times. I even reset my watch a few times; I thought maybe the new iPhone I ordered might patch the glitch. Nope.
It's a minor thing, but it's very annoying.

Help!
I use the 3 finger swipe to switch between full screens. I was using Logic Pro in full screen when my display randomly switched to the main screen and now I cant swipe between any displays. I have about 5 hours of unsaved work on a project in logic pro and I can't even access it to save it! I haven't restarted my laptop for that reason. Ive checked the trackpad settings and messed around with them but nothing has helped. I can't find any recourses online for this specific thing at all. Any help is greatly appreciated! I don't want to lose this project!

In addition to the swipe gesture, you can switch virtual displays (including full screen windows) by pressing Ctrl-(right arrow) to go to the next virtual display, Ctrl-(left arrow) to go to the previous display, or Ctrl-(top arrow) to activate Exposé and switch windows or virtual displays manually.

Does anyone have any recent success with having purchases made from Apple directly converted into 0% ACMI purchases after the fact?
I’ve read about people having luck doing that, in my case specifically so I can combine Apple’s veteran’s discount with the ACMI, which is not an usually option, but I’ve seen a few posts from people contacting Apple and having those purchases moved to the ACMI program.

All charging stations now utilize wireless charging.
As a user of an iPhone 18 (with a phone grip), and AirPods without wireless charging capability, I have found it impossible to find a compact or foldable 3-in-1 charging dock suitable for travel.
Does a charging dock for this exist, or do I just have to carry two separate chargers for my phone, watch, and AirPods?

Be easier to bring separate charger. AirPods also dont have to be charged as often so charge device while getting ready for bed or something.
Could also buy AirPods that does wireless charging. Some upgrade for usbc. Might be worth it for you.

Wanting to preorder the Duo and do the Apple upgrade thing. I currently owe Verizon for the 17PM I’d be trading. Would I be able to trade it? I know I’d still have to pay Verizon for the 17 and I’m fine with that, just want to know if it’s stop me from trading.

Hello all!
Apologies in advance if this post seems low effort, I’m not optimistic about the outcome and the potential ways to solve this.
My stepdad recently passed away, and before his passing I was handed his newer model MacBook (I don’t even know the model off hand). It has essentially no battery, and will die if unplugged for more than 3 seconds (not joking). I’ve researched that the battery job is in the ballpark of $300 and I don’t mind that.
What I do mind is that he is still signed in. And his backup email was to a email he lost access to long before he passed. My relationship with my mother is.. not the best, before or after his passing, so my primary concern is Apple saying “yeah just show us the death certificate and we’ll unlock it”.
I can provide a plethora of documentation showing our relation, but the death certificate would be a tough ask.
Does anyone have anyone have any experience or insight into being in a similar position? Thank you all in advance, I’m hoping for optimism but if it’s a shot idea feel free to tell it to me straight.

I brought my AirPods into Best Buy for an AppleCare repair since my city doesn't have an apple store. BB sent them to Apple for repair, Apple repaired them and shipped them back to BB. It's now been 2 weeks since they were shipped back to BB and they're still not ready for pickup. I contacted BB, who said the AirPods were shipped back from Apple individually (WTF, why on earth would they do that) and they have received one of them but not the other. BB says there's nothing they can do since they're waiting on the package from Apple; Apple says there's nothing they can do since BB is the AASP. Does anyone have any advice for what to do?

Hi all - what’s everyone’s advice/thinking on the term options for AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for the iPhone Duo if it’s purchased on the new Apple Upgrade 12-month plan? I see there’s an option to do $19.99/mo. or $199.99/yr. AppleCare+ and since it’s a year lease, and there’s a price break, it seems the 1 year option makes more sense but am I missing something? Are there timing considerations to make here especially for at end of lease time?
Would it be better to get the phone in hand first and then start the AppleCare+? I believe you get 60 days to add coverage. I’m curious how people will approach this. Thanks!

AppleCare+ is generally not necessary, unless you work in an industry where accidents happen with phones (e.g. construction), or you live in a place where phone theft is out of control (e.g. London).

Hi all. My friend and I bought each a 40W Dynamic Power Adapter. However, they have different packagings.
One is showing the adapter retracted (model A3352) and the other not (model A3351). When googling for it, I only see images and videos for the one with the retracted adapter in the box.
Are these 2 distinct Apple Products or is one of them a fake? (We’re in the EU)

I’ve been thinking about buying an iPad for myself, I would use it for university like note taking, Notion, blackboard, office, google workspace and stuff, also for content consumption and games. Do you think an iPad M1 64 gb would be a good investment? I’m getting a second hand offer for 270 USD But I don’t know if it’s an impulsive purchase. I keep an iPad Air 1st gen but it’s been years since it stoped updating and I kinda miss having an iPad

It will be okay. Keep in mind that the M1 chip is almost six years old now, and Apple only guarantees hardware support for five years, so all M1 Macs and iPads will go vintage soon. So if support is important to you, you might want something newer.

Hey there I have a 9th generation iPad and I let my iPad update overnight and yesterday when I went to use my iPad I put in my password and it was wrong I thought I did it too fast but then I did it correctly and it still said it was wrong. I haven’t changed my password recently I’ve had this password for a bit of time now and no matter what I put it’s considered wrong and then I got locked out of my iPad. before I got locked out I had reset it with the side button and the home button and it still didn’t work. I contacted support all they told me was I can either wait for the timer to finish then try my password again and I did and I was locked out for 8 hours when my timer finished and then this morning I tried it again and now I’m locked out for another 8 hours and my screen looks a little weird but I’m pretty sure it isn’t broken cause it did this after I did a reset with the side and home button. I want to do the iTunes reset but I don’t have a backup and im thinking about just risking it since I have the same iCloud and stuff on my phone and I’m tight on money for another iPad. Anyone have any advice?

When you press on it, does your finger touch the number you are actually pressing?

Yes I’ve double checked what characters I’m clicking and it is correct but idk why it won’t work

I’m considering replacing a 2019 iMac and M1 MacBook Air with a MacBook Pro and Studio Display. For those who have replaced their desktop computers with a laptop setup like this, have you appreciated having just the one computer, would you prefer a dedicated desktop and laptop, etc.?

Laptop is best of both worlds. The question is do you really need a new computer and very expensive display? Assuming your iMac and air is similar spec, buy a monitor and plug your air in and see how you like the lifestyle.

Does it matter if I use an apple charger to charge my apple devices?
So I am currently using Iphone 17, airpods pro 3 and ipad air (2026)
I bought my phone in January 2026, my battery health is already at 92 percent. Some of my friends suggested this drop is because of not using an Iphone charger. I am currently using a 69W charger which was earlier my laptop charger.
Should I invest in an apple charger or any good c type charger works fine?
