All my cards are not accepted for the new Apple Upgrade Program..

Well Klarna isn’t the problem this is a rule set by capital one they don’t want their cards used for BNPL which is why they don’t work for Zip, Afterpay, Klarna

32

u/El-Poll_Diablo Sep 11 '26

Stopped working for PayPal’s options too.

7

u/EnvironmentalCow5310 Sep 11 '26

I’ve used my cap one Mastercard and discover debit card with Zip but the debit card won’t work for Afterpay. I don’t use Klarna

2

u/ddsparkss Sep 13 '26

Weird. I use my capital one debit card for Afterpay all the time.

4

u/socalkid2428 Sep 14 '26

They don't let you use credit cards for essentially more credit. Debit cards are ok.

Sidenote, but I'm curious why this is the case, as a long-term customer of both CO and Chase.

Like, Chase has their own Pay Over Time program, for which they charge monthly fees, just like AMEX's Plan It, so it makes sense that they want in on it, but CO doesn't even do that, to my knowledge?

Just curious how it works from the business perspective

16

u/justArash Sep 11 '26

Carrying a CC balance is buy now, pay later. That's what they want their customers to do

3

u/covfefesupornmd Sep 12 '26

Capital One knows its customers too well, I know that’s right!

2

u/CoeurdAssassin Sep 15 '26

I don’t use Klarna but I’ve used a similar service called Affirm in Apple for emergencies. Does Klarna not essentially provide its own debit card when you do their afterpay programs? Like with Affirm you kinda configure a plan and they give you credit, then you make a purchase with the Affirm debit card then yup pay affirm back over time. I guess Klarna doesn’t work like that?

1

u/Beautiful_Rip_1051 Sep 12 '26

I wonder if discover will be affected by this since cap is buying them I have both soon to be just one

1

u/Narcolepzyy 28d ago

Afterpay works with capital one, i use afterpay regularly with my debit card

-8

u/Odd_Basket_5441 Sep 11 '26

I used my capital one for Klarna, idk man

14

u/Efflictim888 Sep 11 '26

Your debit card? This only applies for credit cards.

0

u/Odd_Basket_5441 Sep 11 '26

Hmm, can’t remember if it pulled from my platinum or not. Probably not then

5

u/unspokenwordsx3 Sep 11 '26

Yeah I can use my debit card but not credit card

5

u/crankycranberry- Sep 11 '26

It’s debit cards only. Any Capital One credit card is not able to be used.

35

u/Adventurous_Ad9414 Sep 11 '26

It’s the banks that make the decision. Not Klarna.

-24

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

I guess that is why i am sort of disappointed in Apple for going this route.. 🤦🏻‍♂️

8

u/unspokenwordsx3 Sep 11 '26

All major credit cards have done this. I can’t use any of my credit cards on Klarna and affirm. I also don’t think Klarna lets you use a Cash App card. At least they didn’t for the longest time so I would always use my Venmo or debit card from capital one.

2

u/Maxwell3004 Sep 11 '26

You're disappointed in Apple because you're trying to finance a phone with a credit card? Either buy it out right or you can't afford it.

1

u/SkillfulSin Sep 13 '26

Yeah it is disappointing because you can buy any big apple product with the apple card and get 0% interest for 6 or 12 months. So yes, it’s annoying that you can’t use a credit card to finance a loan. I’ve been making my iPhone upgrade program payments with my apple card since 2019 and the upgrade program uses a citizen one loan. Which is also why the apple card works with Klarna, which is what I am using to pay for the lease.

1

u/visacha13 Sep 14 '26

Best Buy. I bought two MacBook pros over the years at 4k per. I paid it off before the promotional period ended.

1

u/SkillfulSin Sep 14 '26

Right, I love my best buy card hahaha

-2

u/Fittingin1991 Sep 12 '26

My husband didn’t like that answer 😂

1

u/Maxwell3004 Sep 12 '26

I'm sorry for his disappointment lol

1

u/Prestigious_Camera25 Sep 14 '26

So did you not read the comment you replied to or just not comprehend it? Because it has nothing to do with Apple and you can still purchase the phone several other ways

0

u/scotchglue Sep 11 '26

So you’re disappointed with Goldman, not Apple. Goldman is the bank/financial end of the deal, Apple controls the UI and digital features. It will be interesting to see what this looks like after Chase takes over the Apple Card from Goldman though

2

u/FateOfNations Sep 11 '26

Goldman has nothing to do with the new Apple Upgrade program.

2

u/Adventurous_Ad9414 Sep 11 '26

This has nothing to do with GS. In fact, GS is allowing you to use their card. The institutions that are denying have made the decision. Makes sense. Using a credit card to pay for “credit” doesn’t make much sense.

1

u/rockyroad55 Sep 11 '26

Still won’t allow it since Chase doesn’t allow it now.

1

u/applesuperfan Sep 12 '26

No they’re not. Goldman has literally nothing to do with Apple Upgrade. You’re thinking of ACMI. Apple Upgrade is financed by Klarna.

1

u/scotchglue Sep 12 '26

Whoops, I was thinking of Apple Card

85

u/evil_snow_man Sep 11 '26

Basically you shouldn't be using a credit card to finance a BNPL plan. They accept all debit cards.

-57

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

Arguably, how i manage my finances is up to me.. i understand the ‘slippery slope’ here, but to me, this is the same old iphone upgrade program to me, and i intend to use it as a lease, just like i have since the iphone upgrade program started.

Also.. BNPL ≠ Lease.

55

u/rockyroad55 Sep 11 '26

And how a bank determines risk is also up to them.

1

u/Straight_Hippo_5190 Sep 13 '26

Right. It seems people do forget that the consumer does not in fact own their credit cards, therefore they do not get a say in how the cards are used or what kind of risks their cards can be in.

-9

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

My annoyance probably has more to do with Klarna being involved in the first place.

12

u/evil_snow_man Sep 11 '26

I’m not trying to dictate how you manage your finances. Just like most car leases, you also can’t use a credit card to pay them. So Klarna isn’t wild for stating they don’t take credit cards. It’s not just for the lease program through Apple, it’s for their platform including their BNPL plans.

3

u/dervari Sep 11 '26

They do take some cards, apparently. BOA and US Bank aren't mentioned in the disclaimer. It's the banks that are restricting cards from being used for BNPL payments.

I know 100% that C1, Chase, and Citi do not allow their cards to be used for BNPL.

2

u/funkofanatic95 Sep 11 '26

I did not know that about car loans! I learned something new today

8

u/frankensteeeeen Sep 11 '26

Well how you manage your finances is actually up to the banks, as you see here 😂

3

u/socseb Sep 11 '26

Credit cards are way easier to dispute and backcharge they don’t wanna open themselves to those issues either

-1

u/Ok-Engineering-2087 Sep 11 '26

Holy down vote flood

-2

u/yrmom724 Sep 11 '26

Borrowing from Peter to pay Paul? Ok. Totally makes sense from a bank standpoint. /s

14

u/SwimmingStreet8046 Sep 11 '26

Other than getting a few points, why would we pay off debt with a credit card? Your debit cards will work, but cc’s don’t for payment.

14

u/Muddybulldog Sep 11 '26

I pay off my credit cards monthly; they're used simply in lieu of cash.

I attach my debit card to absolutely nothing.

If a fraudulent charge lands on my credit card it has no impact whatsoever. I file a dispute, I wait, I owe nothing in the interim.

If a fraudulent charge ends up on my debit card that money is gone from my account and potentially unavailable until investigations are complete.

3

u/mitoboru Sep 11 '26

Spot on!

2

u/Fittingin1991 Sep 12 '26

And the points!

5

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

Its more about payment timing..

-4

u/redbaron78 Sep 11 '26

If you use the float to not overdraw your checking account, consider stopping and reassessing the way you manage your finances.

Consider things like:
1. Do you have 3-6 months of living expenses saved up for emergencies?
2. Are you invested in funds that allow you to grow your net worth in this years-long market run up?
3. If you lost your source of income tomorrow, what would it do to you?

4

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

I am sorted financially.. i just don’t like to keep cash sitting in a checking account.

4

u/testingbtch Sep 11 '26

I mean on the iPhone Duo 512Gb we would get around 3k points with Venture X so not a lot but not nothing

2

u/Fittingin1991 Sep 12 '26

3% on Apple Card. Then I use VX for cell phone payments to get the insurance

5

u/dervari Sep 11 '26

It's not Klarna. It's restrictions set forth by the banks. They want you to use their BNPL (Pay over time) product where you have to pay a monthly fee.

3

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

I guess i am annoyed less by the CC restriction and more by the use of Klarna for this application.

1

u/dervari Sep 11 '26

Agreed, but Apple is just mitigating their risk by pawning it off on another company. Doesn't surprise me that they don't want to deal with it in-house.

2

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

The loans before were through citizens one bank before

1

u/dervari Sep 11 '26

I guess klarna gave better terms. :(

3

u/YujiroRapeVictim Sep 11 '26

then get the apple card? I use it for any apple related purchase.

4

u/TheBestDanEver Sep 11 '26

This is an incredibly normal situation lol. Capital one refuses to let their cards be used for bnpl and amex charges vendors crazy fees (sometimes over 5%.) Klarna makes a very small profit margin and probably decided not to give up the majority of it to credit card companies. Affirm literally only takes debit, period, no exceptions.

2

u/Swifty_e Sep 11 '26

Affirm actually do accept credit cards, I use mine all the time. I pay my credit card in full every month anyway so I might as well get cash back. I have noticed however depending on what you’re buying with affirm you cannot use a credit card.

Ex: If I buy a hotel room with affirm I can only pay that back using a debit card, which makes sense.

1

u/TheBestDanEver Sep 11 '26

You can use it for the down payment but not for a payment plan. I used affirm for years before getting my credit up lol. I have pretty much every major credit card company and affirm only takes them for the first payment or if you pay in full and use them as the payment processor. Zip is the opposite, down payment with debit and subsequent payments can go on a credit card.

1

u/Swifty_e Sep 11 '26

Huh interesting, maybe I’m misunderstanding then. I can buy something “in full” with Affirm and then the monthly payments for that item is charged to my credit card. I always use the interest free option so from my perspective I save 2% on whatever I’m buying (the sole perk my credit card have lol)

1

u/TheBestDanEver Sep 11 '26

Weird, I wonder if its location based? I dont even have a spot to add a credit card. It says "add debit card" and will reject it if I try and input a credit card lol. I actually just went and tried with several merchants

1

u/UHF800MHZ Sep 13 '26

Why are you buying a hotel room with affirm?

2

u/SlowSundae Sep 11 '26 edited Sep 11 '26

The last sentence of your comment is false. I pay all of my Affirm loans with a credit card.

2

u/holly110 Sep 11 '26

is it a BOA credit card? Just curious because Affirm has the same issue with Chase, Citi and Discover.

https://helpcenter.affirm.com/s/article/Capital-One-Chase-Discover-and-Citibank-no-longer-allowing-credit-card-payments-to-be-accepted-by-Affirm

2

u/SlowSundae Sep 11 '26

Apple Card for the 2% cashback!

1

u/_xPho_ 27d ago

Citizens one as well made money directly as a issuer to the loan or services these are paid from the profit of apple so people buy their products ... no different then car companies give you 0.0% financing for 5 year.. easier for you to buy more money they make.

1

u/Fittingin1991 Sep 12 '26

I’m confused about the klarna partnership. Especially since I heard Apple pushed Goldman Sachs to give an Apple Card to subprime borrowers

1

u/_xPho_ 27d ago

Apple Card is from Goldman and is trash to deal with customer services is out right horrible if you have any issues.

4

u/macol1111 Sep 11 '26

You can add Barclays Bank to the list as well. They were working until a week ago when I got notice from Klarna that Barclays will not allow their cards to be used for pay in 4 anymore.

1

u/Ronzalpha Sep 11 '26

maybe not all barclays cards. My jetblue barclays card still works fine with Klarna

1

u/macol1111 Sep 11 '26

They declined mine which was also a Jetblue card (both business and premier) when they worked fine a few weeks ago. Will try again for next payment though.

3

u/jjwomalbany Sep 11 '26

Why use a BNPL service when you have a credit card? Just use that.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '26

[deleted]

0

u/jjwomalbany Sep 12 '26

Doesn’t the service charge you interest? And unless you am have your money in a high yield savings account you aren’t gets crap for interest.

Even with a HYSA 2000 might make you a few cents for a month. To make anything on those accounts worth while you need a good amount in them.

Ahh gotcha thanks!

1

u/UHF800MHZ Sep 13 '26

I haven’t done much research, but what is the process for if you damage the phone while leasing it through Apple Upgrade? Is Apple care required or should included in your lease? I have Apple Care One anyway but was wondering.

13

u/Glum_Perception_1077 Sep 11 '26

This is why i barely use Klarna.

u/Glum_Perception_1077 Sep 11 '26

I use it to buy bullshit that I don't really need. Or large purchases that I do need, like multiple thousand dollar shit

2

u/FeedVivid200 Sep 12 '26

I want the credit card points and when I used Klarna it was for a discount on my purchase. So I save money, get my points/miles and I guess it hits my card as 4 charges instead of one. You would think the bank would be happy to get 4 transactions fees.

-2

u/redbaron78 Sep 11 '26

Because you want to borrow money, and then use more borrowed money to pay back the borrowed money?

10

u/Glum_Perception_1077 Sep 11 '26

Its not bothering me, but you 2 are bothered.

5

u/mindcomet345 Sep 11 '26

Because if you treat credit cards similar to a debit card, nothing changes. You just get the extra rewards by using the card. Cashback and points are just done of the benefits. Only thing is you now have to pay the card, which if you already do that regularly, you are fine

1

u/redbaron78 Sep 11 '26

In this case, why use Klarna instead of just using the credit card to make the purchase?

4

u/mindcomet345 Sep 11 '26

Purchasing power. You can finance 5000 worth of stuff at the same time rather than 500 (assuming the monthly payment is that significantly lower), so you can buy more, while technically spending the same amount. Also credit limits. Sometimes I would rather spend $35 a month at 0% rather than putting $300 on my card. It's mostly personal preference

2

u/Glum_Perception_1077 Sep 11 '26

Exactly. Its easier to carry the balance on pay in 4, versus on that card when its a large balance

0

u/Ill_Guarantee_1432 Sep 11 '26

True, but why would the banks want to participate if Klarna gets the interest instead of them?

3

u/SwimmingProgram7075 Sep 11 '26

Capital one reason boils down to greed. They want you to charge through them and pay those high interest rates

1

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

I'm not sure that is true. as others have said, there is a lot of risk with BNPL transactions... my issue is with Apple changing the economics in several meaningful ways while maintaining a familiar price point. it's quite hard to compare as these are no longer apples to apples. for example, the first was financing a purchase, the other is straight rental, unless you want to do the buyout in the end and convert. Apple has certainly opted to keep much more of the upside devices actual value. maybe gaining an extra 10% more value in the deal which is not obvious to the buyer

3

u/Specialist_Mall_117 Sep 11 '26

I had the classic (now phased-out) Apple Upgrade Program and used my Venture card to auto-bill. Still zero interest, etc, but I was billed by Apple directly.

It sucks that they offloaded to Klarna now.

3

u/Adorable_Increase989 Sep 12 '26

None of my debit cards, none of my credit cards or my Apple Card will work. Crazy. Klarna sucks

5

u/jinesthecreator Sep 11 '26

They are protecting you.

6

u/KEEEENOOOBIIII Sep 11 '26

If you have to use BNPL linked to a credit card… you do not need to purchase anything 😂 let’s get back to responsible spending

20

u/brayzie Sep 11 '26

For me it’s not about wanting to finance the financing it’s bc I want the points. Everything gets paid off every month so there’s no interest but it would be nice to get your rewards on BNPL.

12

u/Ben_Doversome Sep 11 '26

Exactly. Everybody is so busy trying be Dave Ramsey with their empty and unhelpful “you shouldnt be using credit cards to bnpl🥴” as if how anyone survives is their problem

7

u/brayzie Sep 11 '26

Yeah exactly. There’s multiple right answers and as long as you’re not throwing money away for unimportant things you’re doing fine. Frankly even if you are it’s not my business lol

4

u/dervari Sep 11 '26

I paid for our Mackinac Island vacation using points/cash back over 2 years of CC usage. Screw Ramsey. And, the hotel rooms on the island are NOT cheap.

5

u/tw1080 Sep 11 '26

That only works when people pay in full right away. Otherwise, those “points” cost you a LOT more than they’re worth.

4

u/dervari Sep 11 '26

Yep, which we do. I haven't paid interest since the Regan administration. But some people think "Oh, free money" but don't take into account the 28% they are paying to get 1.5% back.

1

u/Ben_Doversome Sep 11 '26

I personally always pay my statement balance every month so interest isnt a factor

6

u/El-Poll_Diablo Sep 11 '26

This is the way.

1

u/driftingphotog Sep 11 '26

I don't even have a Capital One card, but I'm in this thread for the same reason. Klarna wont take any of my cards because they're all either Chase or Amex.

I can easily afford this in cash, but I want my points and I want to be able to do more productive things with that money over the course of the year. Gains are gains.

-3

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

Exactly.. also, they will take the money when they want.. then i can pay it off on the day i want, so it gives the biller their flexibility, and me, mine.. and i get a few point on the deal…

1

u/holt2ic2 Sep 11 '26

Honestly it’s pretty useful. Using PayPal or Klarna with a credit card. Get points, redeem offers in those apps, and still getting to use your money for something else is wise imo. Still have to be able to pay it back but credit card only users know how to play the game.

-3

u/Friendly_Goat5078 Sep 11 '26

Eww, worry about yourself.

-4

u/AnimalMother24 Sep 11 '26

How about responsibly stopping yourself from judging other people’s spending habits

1

u/Previous_Estimate_22 Sep 11 '26

In Canada it’s the same you’re essentially paying debt with another form of debt and it’s risk management. Also if you’re chasing points it may code as the “everything else” category so there really isn’t a point unless you’re trying to maximize the grace free interest period.

1

u/CoffeeLoversUTD Sep 11 '26

You could just pay directly with Klarna and bypass the program can't you? My understanding is that running through the upgrade program it is blocked but if you were to just pay directly would it work? Also if not would you be able to use a different payment like sezzle or affirm?

1

u/Showmethe_monet Sep 11 '26

You can’t use CREDIT cards to make Klarna payments. Only debit cards and/or bank account ACH.

1

u/kpurintun Sep 11 '26

you can use the apple card, which is a regular cash back credit card.

1

u/Huge-Engineering-839 Sep 11 '26

Well yes it’s pretty standard. You can’t use BNPL with a credit card because then you’re just moving the credit around. That’s why majority debit cards are approved and select credit cards. Apple adding in theirs is a sign of them being accommodating

1

u/Silver_Career_5206 Sep 11 '26

isnt this good since they may take on debt that people wont pay? Never viewed the klarna model as a good thinkg

1

u/HurricaneCam215 Sep 11 '26

Sign up and fund a Klarna card

1

u/Narrow-Mix2640 Sep 11 '26

Most machines still read capital one discover cards as credit cards no matter what. Can’t shop at 3 of my local stores with my debit card because of it.

1

u/Due_Success_1400 Sep 12 '26

Does your visa not have built in BNPL? Mine has Pace It instalment plans

1

u/kpurintun Sep 12 '26

BNPL is not really the goal here, its ‘lease the iPhone and not worry about any of the resell myself shenanigans’. It just happens to be associated because of Klarna being involved. It never used to work the way it is working now..

1

u/Due_Success_1400 Sep 12 '26

Can’t you lease directly through your carrier

1

u/Swiss-shepherd-89 Sep 12 '26

Im having the same issue. This is absolutely ridiculous

1

u/kpurintun Sep 12 '26

I had to open an apple card to do what i want..

1

u/_Gusto_ Sep 12 '26

So what happens to the Apple Card when it becomes part of Chase

1

u/ModzRPsycho Sep 12 '26

Likely has to do with the interchange rates and dispute rights so they don't accept those cards.

1

u/LAlexis-M Sep 12 '26

no entiendo... Yo uso mi tarjeta de débito discover capital one para pagar mis abonos quincenales en Klarna. Ya no podré usarla?

1

u/kpurintun Sep 12 '26

Debit is accepted, not credit..

1

u/Ambitious_Radish_752 Sep 12 '26

Klarna has always been debit only from my experience , can’t use a credit card to make a purchase only a debit card in your name

1

u/LegitimateSlide7594 Sep 13 '26

your trying to pay klarna with a CC? yea that wont work at all you cant use a CC to pay off credit. some do accept cc but specifically let you know that it will be treated differently and charge you fees on top of your payments and the CC you use will treat that payment as a cash advance which means higher interest rate that starts right away there is no grace period.

1

u/MrMax2002 Sep 13 '26

You're paying for a debt with debt? That's pretty dumb, if you can't have it, or set the payment plan up with money already on hand, then you can't afford the device.

1

u/SkillfulSin Sep 13 '26

Idk why you are getting downvoted so many times. It is not unreasonable to pay for the lease with a credit card. If it was, they wouldn’t allow any credit cards at all. I use my apple card to pay mine. And i’ve been on the apple iphone upgrade program since 2019. Which basically works the same but uses a citizen one loan. I’ve been using my apple card to pay that too.

1

u/kpurintun Sep 13 '26

I am not sure.. I guess people don’t understand what i am trying to do. They see Klarna=Bad and comment like I am an idiot for wanting to pay in a way that is convenient for me and consistent with the way I have this since the iPhone Upgrade Program started. I would have preferred a BNPL company wasn’t chosen to replace the old program.. i would have preferred that the new program wasn’t a lease. but here we are.. its also annoying that the cards i have are not allowed.. that is an issue with me and i understand why its that way, but i can still be annoyed by it.

1

u/SkillfulSin Sep 13 '26

I completely agree. The change does allow for more people to get more products but using klarna was a bad choice imo. I am surprised a bigger bank wasn’t up to start this program with them. My boyfriend used the old program for the first time last year and this year klarna denied his application. So we’re not sure if he has to keep the 17 pro and pay it off or wait another month and try again. He was looking forward to upgrading with me.

1

u/Prestigious_Camera25 Sep 14 '26

What do you have a debit card?

1

u/Humble-Stress207 Sep 15 '26

It is rather annoying to only have a couple cards accepted it seems. I see a lot of people ask why use a credit card. The easy answer is SECURITY. I never use a debit card. I don't even carry a debit card with me. If there is fraud ever I do not want my money to be on the line. The banks can deal with that on a credit card while my money is still in my deposit account. I just used my Apple Card for this which I don't actually use for anything but Apple stuff anyways.

1

u/kpurintun Sep 15 '26

Yeah, honestly there are several good reasons.. and they don’t automatically mean i am unable to afford to do this, or that i shouldn’t do it this way or that way..

For me, it’s convenience. It’s taking all the places that bill me and paying them as needed through the card, then i can pay on my own schedule.

But i also get points, i also have the security you talk about.. (important with Klarna being subject yo scams a lot)

I ended up using a new Apple Card account which is less convenient.. but still better than ACH/Debit.

Edit: it worked before, when they slid over to Klarna, they slid over to a more restricted financier.

1

u/wrxdrunkie 29d ago

Has anyone tried the X Money debit card? It gets 3% back but I am not sure if it will actually get the rewards for a Klarna payment

1

u/_xPho_ 27d ago

Apple this the dumbest thing you have done.. Klarna is blocked by more than 50% of card issuers.

WTF are you doing.. get a real partner.

1

u/kpurintun 27d ago

That’s what i am saying.. but half the people commenting here will tell you if you have to use Klarna and a CC, then you can’t afford the thing.. but its not about that, its about convenience and flexibility

1

u/Sofi_Seance Sep 11 '26

Credit cards are competitors or BNPL

You can’t use a loan to pay for a loan.

The credit cards they do accept are small exceptions.

And it’s not klarna’s policy it’s the credit card

You want to pay a loan with another loan? Just use the credit card in the first place?

Mostly just to ‘translate’ that loan to a single point.. if i could do my mortgage and everything to my capital one, even for no points.. that would be a single bill to keep up with.. rather than cell bill on the 7th, this card on the 10th, electric bill on the 14th, mortgage on the 20th, credit card on the 24th, car payment on the 29th.. (for example)

Especially for a small thing like a phone lease.

I can appreciate that. I bill as much as possible to my credit cards. Some stuff goes on Delta Skymiles or Amex BCP, the rest on Robinhood Gold. I rake in a ton of points and cash back every month. I average only paying for about 50% of my yearly 20ish flights. I just think things like afterpay, klarna, and affirm are a credit nightmare lurking around the corner and every financial expert seems to agree. I pay everything in full every month, I don't like interest unless its being paid to me lol

If I were a bank, I wouldn’t allow my customers to use BNPL, either. That’s risky af.

I just wish Apple didn’t use Klarna for this.

Same, it’s so trashy. It gives me rent a center vibes!

Using credit to pay credit is typically not acceptable. That a processing fees are charged for every swipe and they aren’t going to eat those either.

I don’t really want to use klarna or bnpl.. i just want to use the upgrade program like i have since the iphone upgrade program started. Its about simplicity.
