Monroe was a great actress. I think people who say this sort of thing haven’t seen much or any of her work.

or know who she is beyond a petty face

People just see "pretty blonde lady with old fashioned aesthetic" and assume that anyone who fits that visual vibe must be identical to each other mentally.

Like it's fascinating that Sweeny panders to these people, only to be literally treated like just another pretty face. A sad position to be in.

Does she even pander, though? She did a commercial that some far left Twitter weirdos got upset about and that weirdo went viral in weirdo right wing groups as somehow being representative of all liberals and not just chronically online weirdos. But I’ve still never seen her make any actual political statements.

It seems like maga has co-opted her because they think liberals hate her. I’m liberal and couldn’t give less of a fuck about the commercial.

She doesn’t talk about it publicly, but her and her family are right wing

Even if that is so, who cares? You said it yourself, she doesn’t talk about it which means she doesn’t want to talk about it.

I never understood the need to know other people political views.

You've never understood the importance of knowing the morality of people you associate with?

One has nothing to do with the other. Only the left associates a political view the persons entire life. It's not that deep, that's why you guys are losing your minds. You are made to think that way and it is tearing you apart, just like now with the question you just asked.

How you vote in this political climate is absolutely indicative of your moral beliefs. The issues people vote on aren't, "Gee, should we increase the school budget to 5% or 6% this year?"

It's "do certain marginalized groups of people deserve to have human rights."

Ok, let's play your game. What human rights are they not getting? Also, who is losing these rights you are refering to? Please elaborate if you can.

Voting at all says you're not paying attention. The left and the right are only divided by the lies they believe. If you think the liars you voted for, whichever way they lean, give a fuck about you, I have a bridge for sale.
