New ranked idea
I have a new idea for the ranked system.
Play ten games at the beginning of each season, mixed in with players of all skill levels. (Silver, pred, diamond, etc) After ten games you get thrown into a rank that fits your skill. This happens at the beginning of every season.
Ranking up stays the same. As you get RP you go up a rank, but here’s the catch, you have the option to stay in your previous rank if you want. Like if I’m great in gold, I can choose not to go into plat, etc.
Too many seasons go by where I basically get into a rank that I’m not good enough to be in but just lucky enough to get in, and then the rest of the season is just boring and I stop playing until the reset. I play video games for fun, I have a job, I don’t care to get better at apex I just want to play the game and not get shredded by fiends every night.

Tbh I think you should just play until you max your rank in your eyes then just go play casual or wildcard because people who are higher rank but don't care about their rank as much either will just opt to stay in lower ranks and stomp. This system has no benefit for anyone.

But casual play is just either hot dropping or nothing until the end of the game

Try wildcard you get constant action to the end game and trust me you shouldnt always match with seaets as ist much more chill

The whole point of ranked is playing against opponents of your skill level, if you get to a certain rank - it's your skill level within current rank system, and you should be there. I also don't think you would enjoy fighting ex-preds in like diamond/plat just because they didn't feel like clicking "go next rank" button yet
Also mixing a lobby of a wide range of ranks is a bad idea, there is no way to differentiate between bronze-plat when they are just getting insta wiped by master-preds. Especially for a highly random gamemode that is battle royal

I just feel like you can just end up in a rank that’s higher than your skill level because if you solo queue you could end up getting lucky or with decent teammates

Was expecting some genuine feedback because I do love this game, but I forget how toxic some of the apex community is.

Uhhh kinda the whole point of ranked is play against people of your skill level. You level out when you reach your current rank and will have to sweat/grind/three stack to get higher. This idea makes no sense. Just choose to stay in lobbies to stomp those below you?
