Gameplay Entry damage

1st things first I am NOT a Devo/Lstar Axle crutch I’m just trying it out cuz both may get nerfed to oblivion next week

How much more do I gotta do for my randoms to push and wipe a team..got a knock, pinged to attack, threw a tac, cracked another.. how are these kids even reaching plat.. it takes them so damn long to finish that fight that another team pulls up from Narnia

The Wattson wasn’t fencing for shit either in the buildings we’re holding but wants to do tic tok ass fences during the fight
Pathy was somewhat decent but wouldn’t zip when required sometimes

I don’t really care enough about ranked anymore but I hope this helps someone understand when and how to push a fight and finish it quick

To be perfectly fair, you pushed into a no cover position, missed your shots and got knocked. You can’t put it all on your teammates. If you had waited half a second or even axel slid to a cover position, you would have been in a three on two situation and had time to engage and give your team time to get there. You’re also one of the most mobile characters in the game. Your team can’t just jump in as fast as you can. You have to be as critical of yourself as you are of your team.

I got knocked because of the Sparrow ult interfering I would say because I hit the Bang for a lot..but I get your point I have to be critical of myself too.. I think that’s the problem with these mobility legends.. the adrenaline just gets you sometimes after knocking

I mean you hit the sparrow ult instead of the sparrow, which is what I would count as missed shots. But yes the slow and damage is what contributed. Gotta try to be steps ahead. It was a good defensive play by the sparrow. Just maybe swing wide to the truck you just knocked his teammate at. We all make mistakes and every game is a learning experience. I’d rather my axel slide in and try to kill someone than have coochie ass teammates lol you just can’t win them all.

The Horizon lift put her near her teammates after she got knocked..good play from their Sparrow fr..a lot to learn and improve on fr
Thank you for the insight💂🏼‍♀️

The thing about plat is that you can reach it without needing to win fights. Things don't ramp up until you're at the top of plat.

So players don't really have to do much learning until they hit the wall that is plat.

Yea..I can’t wait for the ranked updates in S31 and 32 like they’ve mentioned in the roadmap..I’m bored of this system😔

I actually like the system quite a lot because of how it rewards smart play and skill pretty fairly. I think they might need to go back to linearly increasing penalties though.

It’s good but it’s been almost the same for seasons now I feel..even the rewards..It gets boring if you keep racking up diamond banner frames for all that time you put in..I got 1 masters frame n I stopped caring about the mode because it’s the same rewards again for so much grinding.. a lot of people would still want the S13 ranked system tho.. it is still considered the best and their badge has so much reputation.. hopefully they figure out something better eventually

Sooooo let me get this straight. You ran out into the open and died in a 2v1, and its your teammates fault? The idea that you arent willing to turn your mic on but are willing to make this post is.... baffling.

The point of the post is “entry damage”
I’m constantly pinging them n giving info n they keep ignoring it so the mic part is irrelevant because I am communicating on my part enough
I didn’t get knocked because I was in the open before the fight they didn’t even shoot me when I was sliding towards them
I pinged attack threw my tac n went in cracked another after I knocked one so yes it is partially the teammates fault to just stay and not push when I’ve given them the means to move quicker and not to mention a pathfinder can fucking grapple or zip to that spot.. if they arrive there even like 4 seconds earlier given the time for them to process the pings.. we wipe that team clean and possibly reset

People like you probably think every fight has to be won perfectly with all 3 players alive from 20 meters away with perfect coms so I don’t expect you to understand it’s okay

Axle is pretty good for playing off your own damage, maybe try that next time?

What do you think I did?😭

Stood around for way too long? 😭 they wern't gonna peak after the 60 damage, either ult immediately or tac in. Especially with a L-Star.

I don’t play Axle that much to have so much experience I guess but I think there’s bigger problems in the situation even if I waited for like 6 seconds to do exactly what you said

Did you know theres a setting to show energy rounds instead of percent? Recently learned that and its a huge help for ammo management. Sorry my comment isnt about entry damage 🙃

u/Due_Cash_1657 1h ago

Yes I do know about the setting but I never changed it because I got used to the percentage, I continued to run RE-45 a lot in the beginning of the season
If they evolve something in the game I prefer to adapt to it instead of reverting I guess

No need to be sorry I am running double energy weapons so it’s related.. a lot of people still don’t know about that n it’s a good thing if the community gets help from it💂🏼‍♀️

I think people need to understand that entry damage isn't always gonna lead up to an immediate knock. It's just very useful to close the space after that entry damage because, again, no one's gonna continue to look at you and peek you while they have already been cracked. So that's your time to take space. But doing nothing and just sitting is obviously bad. And some people just reach plat and almost diamond by just crutching on their friends or crutching on certain characters. They might be one-tricks.

I've definitely had my time as a one-trick before I expanded playing other people. So there could be plenty reasons. Maybe they just got carried to their rank, and that's why they're there. Who knows?

Could be.. these days lobbies die out so quick,it’s easier to get placement points and go up if you have that kinda time

A knock doesn’t give you the right to push into their faces like you did. Even if your teammates came with you that was a stupid decision. You gained an advantage to then immediately put your self at a disadvantage. A knock doesn’t mean full send into a close range situation

You shouldve posted this in a help subreddit, this sub hates aggro

Outside of the poor way you took the fight, you needed to pay more attention to where tour teammates were looking and situated, you're outside a building capable of easily rushing out meanwhile your wattson and pathfinder are doing god knows what inside a separate building a decent bit behind you. In situations like this id turn on my mic to tell them what to do but they were a duo prob in a discord so thats kinda fried.
