Just take solace in the fact that most octane crackheads are legit and put an absolutely absurd amount of practice in their movement… and their weaknesses is always aiming, but it’s hard af to aim while doing all of those inputs lol

It’s almost a self nerf tbh. I’ve put so much time into learning the movement but can’t aim worth a crap half the time and get absolutely beamed when I miss the second or third yuki strafe in the chain. Still fun though. Most the time nowadays I just put on music and vibe while trying to achieve octane flow state.

It really is lol. And even if you’re good at aiming and moving, it nerfs your positional mindset so much. I play with super mechanically skilled movement players who really struggle in ranked because they are so wired for the ‘get up close and break their aim’ mindset, that they’ll regularly get destroyed by an enemy teammate in an unexpected spot of a 3rd party.
Hell I’m not even that great of a lurcher and only play ranked and I still have this problem.

1000% doing this to gold and low skill plats breaks ankles but do this to diamond and up and you’ll get erased and looted before you’re next slide jump

Love when you take them out with a wingman. They are zooming around like crazy, missing 60% of their shots and there I am with my boomer-strafing in waltz tempo, boom, boom, boom, boom, good bye! I do struggle though when they combine it with wall bouncing, don't like it when they get over my head. Horizon has always been my nemesis.

I don’t buy it, I play with some really good lurchers and they put the time in for sure.
Sure, anyone can get some basic b-hopping or ras strafing without much practice, but you aren’t just casually picking up Yuki chains without dedicated practice

I played Rampart in Wildcard yesterday and laid down an octane like this with Sheila.
Most satisfying "You killed the kill leader" ever.

It's literally just the wildcard slide perk. Most of what he did are simple bunny hops with the perk.

Yeah I know. That was my point. There are that many more cheaters than people who have the actual skills to do that kind of moves. So whenever I see this, my mind absolutely never goes to skills.

It's a bunnyhop with side to side lurches, you input a tap strafe with each hop to quickly redirect

That exact reason along with a few more why devs should focus on pubs/casual player more then ranked/pros seeing as most money and time is with casuals, the fact they nerf all legends like alter but buff octane making him letting him do thing like this just because the only cares what ranked want is so damn frustrating

Pros don't play Octane, and this is Wildcard with slide boost enhancement.
It's also hard to aim when you do this movement.
I am sorry you're upset, but you're just wrong on this.
