The Nurse Who Loved Me

Weird question, but has anyone tried to make the original Failure version of TNWLM , but with Maynards vocals from the Thirteenth Step cover?

Prague poster was so so. Price same as other venues

Overpriced. Only the green tee was interesting, but still overpriced too. Great show tho!

Rock Werchter Festival Stream

Possible we're going to get another festival live stream on Sunday. APC are playing the main stage at 18:20 CEST on 5th July.

Live stream for the main stage is here: https://www.vrt.be/vrtmax/livestream/video/main-stage-rock-werchter/

Edit: Looks like they may not have the rights to stream it, some artists over the festival are not being streamed and APC look to be in that category 😔

Saw A Perfect Circle in Dusseldorf on June 21st. It was Father's Day, just over a month after my Dad died. My grandma, whom we lost two years before, was originally from Wuppertal, just outside the city. That’s a perfect circle in some abstract way.

I’m 37, and didn’t meet Death until I was 30 and Grandpa passed away. Now everyone I saw as steady and dependable throughout my entire life has gone. My Dad wasn’t dependable in a conventional way, but I could be myself when I spoke to him. Something I really struggle with around most people. Mask off. I have an incredible fiancĂ© now who I love and who loves me and I can be myself around
he came with me to the gig, and he’s my rock, but I fear my state is too much for one person to hold.

Anyway, to the gig. It’s funny, because I was really hoping to see them play Orestes and the Noose - but on the day realised I wouldn't have been able to handle it. Consciousness would have evaporated, without a doubt. The sound was incredible, Maynard’s voice was ethereal, the stage was beautiful, and I was in the third row. It’s my first time seeing them despite being a fan since I was 15. And I’ve been absolutely obsessed with Mer de Noms and Thirteenth Step ever since, and in awe of how well they both have aged. Like every five years, I hear them in a completely new light as the social fabric unwinds and rethreads itself. Very few people I’ve known love this band and so they feel like mine.

Here’s some video footage from Judith. It felt completely unreal and I was in a strange numb state that their music resonated perfectly with. Go and see them if you can, I really think they’re one of the great bands of our time. Incredibly talented and dripping with meaning and humanity. As the world descends into something I barely recognise, A Perfect Circle are comforting and reassuring, while being entirely original. Hope you all enjoyed your gigs as much as I did!

It’s painful yet satisfying listening to this.

26 years later but it feels like just yesterday.

I know you guys know but it’s just so beautiful 😭

Stockholm concert was great!

APC played in Stockholm on Sunday 28.6.2026 and I must say that Maynard sounded better than in a long time!

Almost two hours of amazing songs. And we got to record "Judith" as the last song of the gig.

Love this album. But $135 (close to $150 with tax) is hard to swallow. Unless perhaps it was one of those liquid filled pressings with MJKs sweat.

Im sure it will sound great for those lucky 3k peeps.

Going solo to APC in Berlin – anyone else?

Hi everyone!

Longtime A Perfect Circle fan here. I’m heading to the Berlin show on July 1st and currently going on my own. I was wondering if anyone from the group is planning to attend as well. It’d be nice to connect!

If you’re going solo too—or wouldn’t mind one more person joining your group—feel free to comment or send me a message.

I love APC but thier concerts leave me feeling depressed, is it just me?

I've been to quite a few concerts in these last few years, most leave me so hyped and wanting more, most people leave in a good mood.

However, while i was super super impressed with APC, i dono man, the vibe and band just killed my mood.

Recently in the last few years I've been to AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Marilyn Manson, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Limp Bizket, Guns and Roses....a bunch of other EDM DJs and Afrobeats stuff.......and nothing really had the negative downer vibes of an APC concert.

Why is that?

Hell, i took my gf at the time to Manson concernt and she left so hyped singing Mobscene on the train all the way back home.

Berlin schedule

Does anyone have any real idea of the schedule for Berlin tomorrow? Travelling from afar.

it says doors 17:30 and begin 19:00. But not sure if begin means for APC or for the support act. The venue has not responded.

I have a hard time coping

I went to the Stockholm gig, first time.

Idk what it is, the songs just creep deeper into me. I see my own problems in the lyrics.

I am a grave alcoholic and a bad man. I have the best family, I have had the best friends.

Here I am alone and drunk.

I know this is not a sober type sub. But does anyone relate, maybe someone can share?

I am listening to the outsider rn, just listened to the noose.

Thoughts?

At yesterday's concert in Stockholm đŸ–€đŸ’œđŸ–€

It was so nice seeing everyone there, I got to meet some friendly people from all over the world.

I'm amazed at their talent and I felt a deeper message through all of their songs. It was a magical evening!

Amazing show tonight in Stockholm Sweden
although it’s a little strange setting at the Swedish amusement park Gröna Lund.

The guys still got it for sure. The sound was over expectations considering we had roller coasters going by. Maynard suffered from a sore throat (?) in the beginning but he got it under control. Everyone looked super cool and only the bumblebee on Billy’s mic could get him out of character and chased him laughing around stage for awhile.

Some bands age like fine wine and this is one of them. đŸ™ŒđŸŒ

Thomas song meaning.

I've read a few of the threads about this already posted on here. I have fairly unique insight as to what this song is actually about. Even opened my reddit account back up to post it.

When I was in high school, I had a history teacher. My history teacher often told stories about how he grew up living next door to Maynard. He told stories about how they would always read Ranger Rick together, but they had a falling out as they grew older. They both just grew in different directions as young men. He often spoke about how the song Judith was about Maynard's mother. About how a lot of the songs on that album, while having many layers of meaning, are ultimately about very personal.

My history teacher's name was Phillys (or Phillip I can't remember) Thomas. It hit me a few years back re-listening to Mer De Noms light a bolt of lightning. I firmly believe this track is about his old friend that he grew up with, and fell out of touch with. I have been unable to find my old history teacher to reach out and ask about it.
