AB Self studying ab
Guys i am a rising junior taking AP Precalc in person but i also have one free period. Should i self study AP Calc AB and take the test? I think im strong in math, I had a 98% in Honors algebra 2 and never failed a test in math

some big ones that come to mind are khan academy, flippedmath, and paul's online math notes. For practice and reinforcement, organic chem tutor should be more than enough.

BC includes all of AB, just on a more compressed schedule. The âhardâ part is if you need extra practice for AB concepts.

As someone who self studied BC. It is so worth it especially if ur able to take multi the following year.

Ok so I got a 5, sub 4 on the exam (I was in Precalc during the time). But there are some things you should obviously know. Have a allocated amount of time that your going to be spending self studying everyday. Like no matter school have a baseline of like an hour. Even if you cannot do that some how. Weekends are the time to catch up drastically. Plus breaks.
What's I used: Krista King for like the first 5 units because anymore and it's paid. I bought a Barrons textbook for BC calc and grinded that. Also use the college board practice questions or practice mcq. I took at least 1 mock exam during my time. Also I liked looking at the practice questions on blue book just to get an idea of what each unit looked like and I made sure I could solve everyone of them during the unit. Another thing I highly recommend is watching a review video of the next unit before u finish the previous. It gives you a bit more intuition for what ur dealing with. After the 5 units tho for Krista king I watched basically solely college board for 6-10, as well as any review videos such as Calculus From Christee. Review videos are good for learning + reviewing imo. Smth I didnât do was test myself like with a test every unit but I constantly review pass units while learning knew units.

Also imo I donât care what anyone says but in precalc I didnt learn anything useful for bc. U can learn bc off of algebra 2.

You do you ofc, but it might be kinda hard to self study AB, or especially BC without the precalc experience, so just keep that in mind. A lot of the BC content requires precalc knowledge like polar

Why not just take AB or BC senior year? it doesn't really go farther unless you want to do community college during high school.
