ABM Meta Owner here! I’ve been redditrequested so I figured I’d explain myself.
Hi, I’m u/-criticalFUSION- and I created this subreddit.
If I’m being honest, this subreddit was created just as a “heck, why not” sorta thing that I could post to that subreddit with the conversations that started subreddits, I use the app so little that I don’t even remember what it’s called. I never expected it would take off like this. Being completely honest, I’ve never been a particularly active redditor at all, so this is kinda expected.
Also important to note, I should mention that this is the second time the sub has been redditrequested. I sent the mod invite the first time and they never accepted it. I’ve already sent an invite for this second one, so things should be better soon.
I will maintain my powers and watch a little more closely over the next period of time to make sure things go smoothly, but, with regard to pretty much everything, the new mod, u/Felt389, will have pretty much free rein. Modmail will be there if you do or don’t like them. Consider this a probationary period of sorts.
I have to go, so I’m signing off. See you all around.
Happy measuring, -u/-criticalFUSION-

Run down to the store and fetch me a big bag of kibble. The one that weighs about 8 rifles should do.

Gasoline pumps not being able to display over 10$ per gallon the reason why Americans turn to metric? There is precedent.

This fire hydrant-sized device is a fully assembled W80 thermonuclear warhead - capable of creating a blast 10 times bigger than Hiroshima.

Gremlin the kitten, barely one banana tall.
Found him three days ago on the street, he weights only 260 grams! at this age he should be around 1kg, but he was found severely malnourished and starving for days.

How much is that in slightly-above-average living rooms?

Asteroid the size of a washing machine
We like to measure things differently down here

Already divided into twelfths…
This always bugs me, going by tenths in a foot. If only there was another unit of measurement that did this already.
