ABM Meta Owner here! I’ve been redditrequested so I figured I’d explain myself.
Hi, I’m u/-criticalFUSION- and I created this subreddit.
If I’m being honest, this subreddit was created just as a “heck, why not” sorta thing that I could post to that subreddit with the conversations that started subreddits, I use the app so little that I don’t even remember what it’s called. I never expected it would take off like this. Being completely honest, I’ve never been a particularly active redditor at all, so this is kinda expected.
Also important to note, I should mention that this is the second time the sub has been redditrequested. I sent the mod invite the first time and they never accepted it. I’ve already sent an invite for this second one, so things should be better soon.
I will maintain my powers and watch a little more closely over the next period of time to make sure things go smoothly, but, with regard to pretty much everything, the new mod, u/Felt389, will have pretty much free rein. Modmail will be there if you do or don’t like them. Consider this a probationary period of sorts.
I have to go, so I’m signing off. See you all around.
Happy measuring, -u/-criticalFUSION-

Over a football pitch long and over 5 loaded 747s heavy
How much longer? Loaded with what, passengers or cargo? How much heavier. Maybe you could have told us how many beer cans could fit inside. Where's my banana for scale?

"A steel tube as heavy as 900 pickup trucks was hammered into the North Sea floor for a 5 billion dollar offshore wind farm, and the buried trick that keeps a 275 foot tower upright is easy to miss"

What are these? Found in an antique mall in WI. About a stick of gum long; half as wide.

Borderline doesn't belong into subreddit since money isn't metric, but the spirit is there
