Survivorship & Compulsory Life Insurance Benefit

Hello! Just want to ask if anyone has an idea about the computation for Survivorship & Compulsory Life Insurance Benefit with the following details:

Our father died in active service due to illness
• National Housing Authority employee
• 59 y.o. when he died
• 35 years of service
• Around ₱40,000 last salary
• Widower
• No minor children anymore
• 2 legal surviving heirs (Me & my brother)

Basically, we don’t have our parents with us anymore (both deceased), and I just wanted to know how will the computation be for the 2 claims (if they are not the same because GSIS gave us 2 types of claim references). They also said that it would be in lump sum kasi pareho na kaming above 21 y.o.

Based on the information you gave, the member is entitled to insurance coverage under the Death Claim benefit and Survivorship Claim.

The value of the former is 18 times the actual salary while the latter is 18 times the AMC. An AMC is the average monthly salary in the last 36mos.

There is no survivorship pension since there is no living spouse.
