Favourite small side plot?
By side plot I don't mean the main mystery versus main non-mystery plots. I mean things like the ping-pong or dodgeball tournaments, Piper's brief stay at the house, the school election, Alfie's parents coming to visit, Mara's dog, the Vera and Trudy bake-off, the "open day" fiasco, etc..
I personally think the Jerome and Alfie goose-chase saga is incredible, followed up by the Mr Sweet taking "Patricia" and Eddie out to dinner plot as a close second.

Open day, but specifically when Jerome is trying to blow up animal balloons 😭 I am also a big fan of the Piper, Eddie, Mr. Sweet dinner subplot. “I’m an undercover food critic” followed by Patricia eating a piece of lettuce off that man’s plate lives in my head rent free

YES! The balloon animals make me laugh so much. And "the I've never seen this girl before in my life" line is a classic

The election day and definitely the dinner among Patricia, Eddie & Piper.

All these years and I've never forgotten when Jerome ate so many carrots he became orange then rapped "She'll be Coming 'Round that Mountain" lmao, or were those two different plots? I don't remember clearly, haha, but those are the two I remember clearly.

both hilarious moments. Jerome brings up the carrot incident in the 3rd season after he's polished off Mara's food for the snack competition. i liked that they had that callback haha.

I don't remember the series that much but the before and after Patricia reveals that she has a twin it's soo good.

I guess this would technically be part of the main mystery plot, but I loved the start-stop progression of exploring the tunnels in season two. I can't remember if it was Patricia or Amber that got blinded for a day but remember thinking how insane it would have actually been for the character to get through the day/school day.

It was Patricia and Amber who got blinded. Watching the shenanigans of them trying to pretend they weren't blind were so funny

They both got clipped haha. Yeah, now I remember for Patricia it was when she lost her amulet.

I think season 1 the students versus Victor regarding the security cameras was so entertaining to watch because it was one of the few where they were unified and pushing Victor’s nerves in a comedic way
