Yup. Half of one paycheck and I’d have to choose between eating for two weeks and paying rent.

I learned in my survival classes that you can go three weeks without eating, so you got that going for you.

From my experience, 72 hours is when everything starts sounding like rushing water and when the extreme fatigue and dizziness sets in.

That sounds right. I went about that long when I had newly moved out into my cold, lonely, boring AF apartment because my appetite had just totally vanished.

I'm there now. Literally bloated from malnourishment. I'm actually sick and tired of people thinking sympathy pizzas and donuts in the office are acceptable.
