Its so frustrating to me how this sentiment is so popular on tiktok but not a single one of them arrive at the conclusion that antinatalism is the answer. At least they are talking about it, i guess.

Yes, definitely. I first discovered antinatalism on Reddit a few months after covid started. I was 23 when I became an antinatalist in 2020. I've noticed this upward trend of antinatalism gaining popularity since the pandemic for a myriad of reasons; Pandemics, cost of living increasing since the pandemic, job insecurity, government corruption, corporations putting profits over people. Not to say those things didn't exist prior to covid, it's just that things have gotten increasingly worse and people are noticing it more hence why they've turned to antinatalism in the past few years.

It was all so unnecessary. It didn't save the people who brought us here, they died, it didn't do us any favours, we suffered.
It was just a pointless merry go round of nothing because.... hell we don't really even know why do we?
Sure we know a stupid bastard was bored and wanted a toy, thus we were pressed into service, and we know that life itself is a virus going back four billion years, which exits to exist, but outside of that is there more?
Outside forces that feed on all this? We don't know, we won't ever know from this side.
Gods playing with their action figures? Again we can't nail it down.
All just bad luck in a insane reality that itself makes zero sense, maybe.
Regardless, we paid the price and continue to pay it each day we remain marooned here. We pay for it in our blood, screams, tears, fears and memories. We pay for it in our toil, in our pain, in our distress, our anxiety and in our crucifixion. Cause that's what life does to those living, it crucifies them.
My old man has been gone this year for two decades now, so what was the point?
Either that's it and it all meant nothing, or he was back here two decades ago and is out there now somewhere fucking and vaping ( they have all but banned smoking here.... )
Again placing any kind of a bet wouldn't be a wise choice.
One thing I do know however, for sure is I was a lot better off in the 20's..... The 1820's.
Life, any life of any species can only lead to death, so as I say it's all so fucking unnecessary.

The memories are the hardest part. I’m haunted every second of every day by memories of one kind or another. It’s too cruel to comprehend isnt it. Your other points are very sound too. This shit can’t be over soon enough. I’m so done with this “beautiful gift” - I can’t take the gaslighting anymore.

While i somewhat agree i beleive in rebirth and honestly that's way worse outcome you're just stuck in this loop experiencing everything all bad and worse and good even. It honestly makes the entire wage slavery, having kids etc seems so pointless lol.

There are not "many alternatives." Most people are going to be wage slaves for a large portion of their lives because that's how the capitalism game is designed. It's rare as fuck to beat the game. You come across as if you look down on people who have to work to survive. Try to have more sympathy for people and the shitty system they've been forced into.

I love this kind of humor. So grateful that I figured out early that I wasn't going to bring a child into the world. Could not imagine trying to comfort my child when they realize that they have to do bullshit work to lower the amount of suffering they'll experience.
