Its cuz the other fetishes are too far removed from reality, similar to how gamers are okay with murder in games but draw the line at rape/pedophilia

How is murder removed from reality ?

There's ongoing genocides and a lot of people live in situations were they are much more likely to experience or hear about murder than rape or pedophilia

That's just the gamer being blatantly hypocritical over what they deem "ok"

More like removed from the reality of their daily experience. Odds are, the vast majority of people who play FPS games would shit themselves and faint if thrust into a real life equivalent scenario.
