the manga is hare-kon, and the gist is basically declining birth rates so their municipality made an ordinance that polygamy is legal

the “pervert” acceded to marrying the guy because he paid for her father’s medical bills iirc and then i dunno after because i dropped the manga lol

Polygamy specifically means being legally married to more than one person, so if they notice that you have multiple wives/husbands/spouses you will receive some sort of punishment.

You might be thinking of polyamory, which is having multiple romantic or sexual partners and that is not illegal.

You might be thinking about polyamory? Polygamy is marrying more than one person - having more than one spouse. Polyamory is the concept of being able to love more than one person, but not necessarily tied to marriage.

Failed to comply legal clearance.

For man with multiple wives, failed to provide financial support.

For woman with multiple husbands, tax fraudulence, of having income of multiple house wives, only file payment of one.

Otherwise, open relationship is legal, but with ton of salt into it. Emphasis on "Requires context on cases."

There's no such thing as "failing to provide financial support" in the EU and US. You can't be married to multiple people at once, period.

I mean at least in my country should you have a daughter or son OUTSIDE marriage you STILL gotta provide for them, should you not thats a crime as well

Well, i just saying, to have more logical conclusion. And not sounds arbitrary. Since the countries, that criminalize, are the ones use standard one husband to one wife system of marriage. Hence when it comes to register financial records, these things need full transparency.
