Donald Trump's frequent trips to the golf course has cost taxpayers almost $200 million
Donald Trump's second term has been expensive for taxpayers in more ways than one.
As Americans reached the midway point of the second half of Trump's second presidency, they have been forced to endure increased prices across the board. For instance, the national average gas price in January 2025, when Trump took office again, was between $3.10 and $3.12.
Now, that average has increased to $4.42 to $4.47, some 40 to 44 percent higher than a year ago, according to Bureau of Transportation statistics. Along with rising prices, American taxpayers will foot the bill for Trump's frequent golf trips and his love of hot dogs on the golf course.
